I have stated in detail my response on the attached word file. Supporting invoices are also attached.
Simply stated, Ms. [redacted] allowed a water department worker from Lakewood to get on the phone and invite us to come dry out her flooded...

basement which the water department caused.
We sent invoices to her for the work even though she didn't sign for it, because the water department stated they would not return our calls to collect payment.
Ms. [redacted] had us work with her State Farm adjuster and send them the bills. They cut her a check for 2 of our 3 invoices, stating the additional invoice was additional occurrence not covered by her policy.
She did not forward the money they sent her to pay us with.
She says we are supposed to collect from the water department, all the while keeping almost $5000 from us.
Our attorney says she should pay us and collect from the water department herself. The fact she never signed our paperwork is irrelevant because she benefited from our service and allowed us to enter the house to do the work. She even called many times and we returned at her beckon call to re-extract, reposition equipment, change electrical power configuations etc.
We are willing to negotiate with her a lower price than the $7200 we claim she owes, but she needs to show good faith by forwarding the $4700 she has already received from the insuranc company
