Ph. # On Dec. 11, 2017, I called Chem-Dry to have my carpets cleaned. On that date 12-11-17, they sent an employee by the name of Jason- a very young worker possibly with little experience and not much training. After he was done working on the carpet and as the carpet began to dry, huge dark brown stains started showing all over the Living Room, the bedroom and small hallway.
On Dec. 19, 2017. David and Cody were here to repeat and re-do as the invoice states. Nothing changed. As the carpet started to dry, the hugh dark brown spots and stains reappeared.
On Dec. 28, 2017 David and Johnathan were here again. The invoice states the job done as a touch up. As they described to me, they just brushed the carpet which didn’t change the appearance of all the dark stains. The stains were still there.
On Jan. 3, 2018, David was here to take pictures of the damage.
On Jan. 8, 2018, Glenn, the Owner, of the company and one worker named Steven were here. It states on the invoice recleaned traffic patterns in the Living room and the bedroom. The appearance of the stains and brown spots are still visible throughout the Living Room, Bedroom, and hallway.
I have hired Chem-Dry for many years and this had never happened before. Whatever Jason used - whatever chemical he sprayed on the carpet and possibly didn’t work it into the carpet and didn’t vacuum it, probably caused this unusual result.
By the way Mr. Glenn B was here Jan. 10, 2018 because I called him to tell him Steven had run into my Living Room wall & chipped off a piece of plaster & paint from my wall.
Mr. Glenn B was most rude and disrespectful. He said he was fed up with my complaints and was not going to listen to me anymore. He said he was done and finished. This behavior is very unbecoming for an owner of a business.
By the way Jason broke the leg on my night stand on Dec 11- 2017.
Mr. Glenn B shouldn’t be upset with me. I’m not the one who created the problem. I’m trying to figure out what & why happened and asking help from them to resolve the situation. As of now I consider my carpet damaged & ruined.

We have refunded the customer her money after multiple attempts to remedy a non existent problem. There is no damage to her carpet. As far as we are concerned the matter is closed.

This is in response to your letter of Feb. 5, 2018.
This claim is no where near being settled unless I see a clean carpet in my home. The carpet looks like it’s never been cleaned. Yet, Chem-Dry was here four different times, as indicated by the invoices for you. All they did from Dec 11-17 - 1-8-18 is is throw more water on my carpet and who knows, by now, with all the moisture, I may now have mold or mildew in my Living Room and bedroom.
I’m sending you a photograph showing how the carpet looks as of now. It certainly doesn't look like it’s been cleaned. Photo dated Dec. 29-2017
Now, if Mr. Glenn B would agree to pay another carpet cleaning company of my own choice to come in and clean the mess Chem-Dry has left, I would consider the matter taken care of.
Yes, it is true, Mr. B refunded $123.63 I had paid for the cleaning of the carpets plus I was refunded $26.55 for overcharging.
But this money isn’t going to cover the cost of my hiring someone competent to come and take care of the mess done to my carpets.
Please look at the photograph carefully - the stains are very visible. This is my Living Room carpet and the bedroom carpet doesn’t look much better. Yet, Mr. B says I’m complaining about something that doesn’t exist. One of the workers, David, told me to have my eyes examined, telling me I was seeing stains that didn’t exist.
If there was nothing wrong with my carpet, I wouldn’t be wasting my time complaining about it.

Our Company guarantee states that we unconditionally guarantee our work. If you are not happy with anything we do for any reason and we cannot make it right for you, we will refund their money. We have honored our guarantee. We have experienced a successful 14 year relationship with Mrs. and 3 of the technicians who have done her service over the years have all re-cleaned her carpet in the past couple of months to remedy her "issue", and we all agree, there is no issue. She has the cleanest carpet in town because it's been done so many times recently. In fact her carpet in beautiful. It is designed to reflect light in such a way that it creates depth of beauty and looks differently from every angle, as many carpets do. This will change over time due to wear patterns, exposure to sunlight and personal habits. The particular carpet in question has a lot of years of wear and care yet it still looks great. The servicemen who have cleaned Mrs. carpets over the past 10 years agree, the carpet looks the same today as it always has, minus typical wear. Don't you think after a 14 year relationship we'd do everything possible to keep this customer happy? That is why we've re-cleaned her carpet multiple times regarding this "issue". We have honored our guarantee and done all we can to maintain this relationship. I'm sorry to lose Mrs. as a customer.
