This business is very sketchy. My car was there for 3 weeks in which when I decided to have my vehicle towed to another shop. The business reeked of marijuana on 7/22/2020. The owner and one of the mechanics have a really disrespectful relationship among the two and they are over charging and the owner Ali works for Parker Towing so he pitches to have tows brought to his shop.

Cheney's Automotive Response • Aug 07, 2020

The vehicle was towed into shop due to you not feeling comfortable with the original shop wanting to go to, prices are cheaper then anyone else in town and always will be , the original issue was resolved but there was other issues as well due to poor maintenance on vehicle, you needed back in a quick fashion and the shop was not able to meet needs so we released vehicle to you so it could get repaired as quick as you needed ... the issue was resolved on marijuana and the employee was terminated and everything has been fixed and resolved ma’am, thank you for responding and have a great day

We paid Cheney's Automotive to have the left rear hub and wheel bearing on the fifth wheel trailer replaced because the wheel bearing was ceased onto the hub. We also paid to have the other 3 remaining wheel bearings on the fifth wheel trailer replaced with new ones and packed with grease. I confronted Colton Cheney on 4/25/2020 that I did not see him or his worker work on replacing the passenger side wheel bearings, as I had been driving by every hour to see if he was working on them, and during the evening I parked across the street in the Dollar Tree parking lot off and on and never saw them work on the passenger side. His reply was they did work on them and I did not have the means to take the wheels off and prove him wrong. Leaving us no choice but to pay and he told us it was cash ONLY $1119.80 we told him we could not find a bank open at 9 PM he said he had an ATM machine in his office. I realized he does this so one can not dispute this to a credit card company. We paid and drove to Phoenix Arizona 150 miles away, stopped for gas and I noticed the grease cap on the hub they replaced had come off. I then felt the other hubs to see if the heat was equal on the other three they were to have replaced the bearings. The passenger side front was extremely hot leading me to believe if we were to continue driving on it the same thing would happen to it that happened to the driver side rear, we could not continue anyway until we got a grease cap for the one hub they replaced. We took the fifth wheel trailer to Auto Safety House and asked them to look at the passenger front wheel bearing because of the extreme heat that was building when driving. I was standing there when they took the wheel bearing out and said that there was old grease in the wheel bearings and the bearings looked to be old. I had them take the other two of the three that were suppose to be replaced by Cheney's and again they were old bearings though the grease on the driver side front appeared to be fresh and only one color unlike the others with two different colors of grease. I asked them to check the one that had the hub replaced and they said they would, I went to the office then and in about 15 minutes I was summoned back to the trailer and told they could not get the hub off that it should have slight resistance but come right off as he showed me on the front one when he put the hub on and then took it off. I stood there for minutes as he tried getting the hub off with no success, I left to tell my son of this problem. About 20 minutes later the mechanic came back to show me what the problem was. *** had cut into the spindle leaving a groove when they had cut the hub off the axle (I have pictures of it) they said Cheney had also slightly bent the spindle when hammering the hub off ( I saw a small sledge hammer about 4 lbs under the fifth wheel with the head separated from the handle at Cheney's when it was up on the jack when they took the hub off). Unfortunately the spindle was part of the axle and could not be replaced so the entire axle had to be replaced. Auto Safety House replaced the axle and replaced all the wheel bearings with wheel bearing kits new grease for $981.01. We left there at about 3:30 pm and drove to Benson Arizona 160 miles and stopped at a gas station and I checked all the hubs and they were all the same temperature to touch, not building up heat like the the passenger side had before. Auto Safety House did the job they were paid to do Cheney's did not. I have the bearings, grease caps that Auto Safety House replaced as evidence that Cheney's did not do what they were paid to do, also I have pictures as I stated before and a video. On our return from our trip on 5/4/20, I stopped by Cheney's to see if he would refund our money and told him he put our family in danger by not doing what he was paid to do because the passenger front bearing was failing because he did not replace it, he said he did and things got a little heated and I told him I am giving him this one chance to make things right and he refused and asked me to leave his property.

on January 20th 2020 I dropped off my 2007 ford f250 to *** Automotive *** phone# ***.The owners name is ***. At that time he advised me I had a blown head gasket. He would have to order the parts and the earliest it would arrive would be Friday January 24th,2020. I called him on January 27, 2020 and he stated he was waiting on a part. Then I called him on Friday January 31st, 2020 to ask him how it was going and he stated he was having someone check the work that was being performed.
On the estimate provided the estimated time it would take to repair would be 17 hours.I called them again on Monday the 27th hoping that would give them enough time to start on the repairs. I called him again on February 3rd, 2020 to check on repairs again and he said he was waiting on a part from Washington and it would arrive Thursday February 6, 2020. I then called him Thursday the 6th at 8:00Am and then again at 5:30 pm to confirm that part had come in. He stated it still had not arrived at 5:30 pm and he would call me when it gets in. I then called back February 7, 2020 at 8:00AM ask if part is in? He said it had arrived & to give him a couple hours so he could confirm that it would fit and be the right size? on February 7. 2020 at 11:45 I still had not heard from him so I gave him a call again. This time he stated the wrong part was ordered. He will have to re order a new part.they have had my vehicle since January 20th, 2020 for 19 days now and are no sooner to getting it close to fixed.
This has gone on long enough and I have been more than Patient. I was traveling from Apple Valley, Ca and relocating to Florida with a camper on the back and the camper is my home. I have had to find additional accommadation which is costly to me with the length of time it has taken. Ialso had a job lined up in Florida and now it has gone to someone else. This has become a HUGE Hardship and all I am asking is that my Truck get repaired Properly and in a timely fashion

This ***s automotive located in ***a ***.The reason I am reaching out to you is due to the circumstance of *** on the gentlemans 2007 Ford F250 . The gentleman had drove the vehicle in on 01/20/2020 at approximately 3:15 pm and requested that we diagnose the problem, I made customer aware of problem which lead to cracked injector tube which would lead to the cylinder head needing to be replaced, I had also advised the customer it would be 4 days before performing any kind of work, customer agreed to terms, my shop had collected a deposit for the cylinder head ,cylinder head was ordered but was incorrect part, 2nd cylinder head was then ordered, I made customer aware of situation, customer agreed to the process, When work was performed , my guys had replaced the head gasket as well to replacing antifreeze in vehicle due to customer requesting truck as of 02/13/2020 , amount of hrs put into truck for 11.8 @ $135 an hr. customer requested vehicle and decided to take down road to mechanic that was closer to florida.

Customer Response • Mar 02, 2020

I am rejecting this response because: Mr. ***'s statements are Completely false and untrue. No head gasket replacement or work of any kind had been done to the 07 f250 truck while in his possession for over 25 days. Yes I drove into ***'s automotive with my Ford F250 blowing white smoke on 1/20/20 and yes Mr. *** of ***'s automotive diagnosed in writing that it was a blown head gasket. He did mention it would be 4 days until he receives the head gasket and would start the tear down of the engine and order the correct parts needed to replace the head gasket for the F250 truck. In which I did agree to these terms. Automotive collected a deposit of $1,375.00 to order the head gaskets that would take 4 days to arrive and to start tear down on the engine. Please see attached (A). Which he stated he would do once he collected the $1375.00 deposit. During the duration of the truck being at ***'s Automotive from 1/20/20 to 2/13/20 total of 25 days I received in writing via text from *** confirmation that cylinder heads were being ordered. After several days I contacted *** and asked if he received the cylinder heads. He responded via text stating that the cylinder heads he received were the incorrect size. He was going to have to reorder the correct cylinder heads and that the casting and dowl pins will need to match. I then text him again several days later and asked if he was able to get a hold of the correct cylinder heads and he said he had and they would ship out 2/8/20. Then on 2/10/2020 he said cylinder heads shipped yesterday he was just waiting on arrival. I then asked him to please provide me with a tracking number so I could be kept in the loop of when the cylinder heads arrive. Mr. *** proceeded to text me and state he didn't have a tracking number. Then Mr. put in a text that he will not refund our initial deposit due to the work that has been put into the truck so far?So as stated in writing in your text and in the response letter to Revdex.com that your guy claims he dismantled and replaced heads and replaced anti freeze in the vehicle. Please see attached (B) with text messages. I went with law enforcement to retrieve my F250 Truck on 2/13/20 and The truck had not been worked on or even touched while in his possession after 25 days. The old anti freeze was still in vehicle, engine still smoking please see attached pictures. The only thing touched was the removal of my brand new( 2) Deka Gold 12V diesel batteries purchased on 12/17/2019 and replaced with 3 year old Duracell batteries see attached (C) images and (D) copy of receipt of purchased batteries. Plus while truck was being loaded to a tow truck it was still smoking the same as it was when I brought it in to your shop 25 days prior See Attached (E) Also when inspecting the Ford F250 Truck their was damage to my truck/ large scratch to passenger back rear side. See Attached (F) After picking up my truck from ***'s Automotive I had to have it towed to an ASE Diesel Mechanic that verified nothing had been done no anti freeze drained no head gasket removal and replaced and still smoking white smoke and fuel still getting into resovior. As you stated in writing in your texts and letter to the Revdex.com that cylinder heads and parts had been ordered and that your guy had supposedly replaced head gaskets as well as antifreeze and hours supposedly worked for 11.8 hours at $135 an hour ? so please provide myself and the Revdex.com copies of all parts ordered including order number, invoice numbers, tracking numbers on all parts and companies names the parts were ordered from and received including first cylinder head that didn't fit, second cylinder heads and all parts pertaining to the repair of my Ford F250. Also provide pictures or videos of supposedly replacing cylinders and detailed calculation in writing of supposedly 11.8 hours of work performed. In closing I am requesting the refund of my deposit of $1,375.00 as work was not done and the return or replacement of my two Deka Batteries cost $170.82 that were removed from the vehicle without my consent or permission also cost of car rentals which accumulated to $632.95, also accommodation having to rent a home for 25 days total $1100.00 and repair of the scratch while in your possession for 25 days which I have had estimate of cost $2,500.00. Total amount $5778.77. I would like to give you every opportunity to settle this through the Revdex.com and out of court. I look forward to resolving this matter

Attention *** had brought the truck into me with it blowing white smoke, I had Mr. sign documentation making him aware that all diesel pickups were $135.00 an hr and the customer had agreed, I made the customer aware that I would work with him as best as possible to make it easier on him. When performing diagnostic on the 2007 ford f250 when had came to a conclusion that the vehicle had a cracked injector tube in the cylinder head. In order to fix the problem we would had to remove and replace the cylinder head.$1375.00 was collected a deposit to lock down the job due to being a high amount along with covering the cost of the cylinder head, no other charges were collected and deposit was kept for work and parts that were put into the vehicle. I offered options to the customer about a dealership down the street to either have them work on it which I had made him aware that they would be significantly more or to possibly trade the truck in due to the most know common problems with the ford 6.0 powerstroke motors, customer refused options and stated " I want to help out a new small town business" we proceeded with moving the truck to the side of the shop and customer had waited til his "friend" came in from Palm springs, Ca to pick him up and take him back to his house where he stated he was going to stay for the process of the truck being repaired, the same night we had received the truck, we had parked the vehicle in one of my shop bays which is blocked by 14ft chain link fence along with security system that runs 24hr surveilance. When the first cylinder head came in the dowl pins to align it were in correct, I made customer aware of the situation , and simply stated I was doing everything in my power to have my vendors expedite the new cylinder head along with offering to mr *** that once the vehicle was done I would be more then happy to drive to where he was to pick him up and bring him to the vehicle. When we started to work on vehicle, we had removed the turbo, alternator, ac compressor, intercooler lines along with removing the intake manifold and valve cover to get to the cylinder head. When customer stated that he was gonna pick up the truck, we had replaced the cylinder head gasket along with dumping out the old antifreeze and replacing the coolant with fresh coolant. Mr *** showed up to retrieve the vehicle back in his posession and we finished putting vehicle back together. Mr *** was recording and taking pictures at the time of on the property, I simply asked the customer not to do so due to be being private property along with respect for my mechanic, customer refused to and tow truck showed up to load vehicle, vehicle was driven out of the bay and straightened out to load up on flat bed and be hauled out of here. Mr *** had left premises and cylinder head that was to be installed and then canceled was returned to vendor supplier.
