Cherish You Boutique

On *** owner by Cherish You Boutique contacted my sister to let her know their venue was closed for the event she was hosting on ***. My sister contacted me which I then contacted the owner as well as she never notified me of their venue closing when I had booked an event for ***. I called to ask when I could expect my refund on ***. The owner said cashier checks are going out that week. I never received a check so I called back again on *** and the owner told me the same story, "checks will be sent out tomorrow." I then informed the owner she said the same story last week and she was breaking her contract. She at first could not find my address and information for the party I booked. When she did find it she did not have the zip code written down. I understand businesses close however how she is going about refunding her customers is not ok. Lying and keeping their money is not the right thing and she is breaking her own contract.
