Worst company ever
These company and these clowns are by far the worst business/human being that I’ve ever encountered. First of all I saw a vehicle online called about it, and I was told that the vehicle had no mechanical problems or any scratches, I live in Kansas City, so I put a down payment to hold the car for me until I have a chance to fly to Atlanta to pick up the vehicle, I was told by Jamie clown #1/owner that they would provide ride from the airport to the dealership, that was a lie. A month after putting down my deposit I called them to inform them that I would be there in 3 days 3 pick up the vehicle, so they can arrange transportation to the dealership no answer, with my plane ticket already purchased I proceed with my plan to pick up the vehicle. I then attempted once again to call them while I was already in Chicago still no answer, so I sent him a text to let him know the time that my wife, niece, and daughter would arrive, minutes later I received a called back saying I didn’t know that you were coming today the car still need repairs, I was in shock when he said that I then told him that you never said that there was anything wrong with the car. He said give me a few minutes I’ll call you back, I told him that I did not have a few minutes I was already about to board my next flight. While I was in the plane he then texted me said that I have good news we can take the part out of another car and fix it, but we don’t have a driver to pick you up, you will have to Uber here. I was already upset that I didn’t even know anything wrong with the car, I’m already halfway there, so I might as well go there. I took an Uber and spent $95, when I got there were visible scratches I pointed out that were not disclosed and the overall condition of the car was not what it was advised to be. I then asked Travis clown#2 what was being fixed, he said that they had to replace the water pump. I’m not an expert on cars, but I find it hard to believe that they had taken out a water pump from a Jaguar and put it into another Jaguar less than 2 hours. When I test drove the car I smelled antifreeze, I told Travis about it, and he states that it’s because they just replace the water pump the smell would go away. As disappointing as I was they knew that I came from out of state just for this specific car that I would not get back on a plane and come back home without a car they refused to even reimburse me for the Uber.

Now fast-forward to purchasing the car, I paid the full asking price for the car Travis then said that there was another $95 fee that I never heard of, so I paid that too we are now at $10,095. At this point I was beyond disappointed and dissatisfied I paid cash in full I sighed all the documents for the title and received a receipt that stated that I have a $0 balance paid in full, now time for me to get the title and get my car registered Travis called me to tell me that by the way there was another $500 fee that we need from you before we send out your title, I told him that I was not going to give them another penny and I need to speak to Jaime clown # 1 he hung up the On my face I called back he answered the phone and said “f[censored] you, d[censored] head you are not getting your title until we get $500” I was in shocked that a business would talk to anyone like this. I then called back clown #3 to say I don’t have anything to say and hung up again. At this point, I’m lost for words.

I thought long and hard about what just happened and waited to see if They're going to send me my title nothing, and since I drove the car back from Atlanta I had to stop 3 times to add antifreeze I drove no more than a week and part it in my garage, I finally took it to Jaguar to fix the leak, so I (though) they told me that I need a new engine with parts and labor that’s about $22,000. I called to inform them about that last week I was told by Travis clown #2 that Jamie clown # 1 was out of town to call back today, so I waited and called back today the same lady clown #3 answered I explain to her what happened she put me on told and called her boss Jamie clown #1 after 5 minutes she got back on the phone and said that he said “[censored]k you and get lost don’t call back here again” at this point distance is the best thing that ever happened because I don’t know what my reaction would have been if it was driving distance. I need a new engine or a full refund and an apology.

+1

I waited to see if they would make good on their word before I wrote this. Plain and simple, we purchased a vehicle not knowing that it had an insurance lien on the it and have been unable to get tags. We purchased the vehicle on November 22nd and as of Feb. 14th, the tags are still not available, nothing in the tag office system and now we cant get the awesome person who gave us their word -TERESA, back on the phone. The tags have now been expired since Jan. 6th , 2020. We have been pulled over a total of 3 times including TODAY. We have been unable to drive the vehicle for a month and when we were contacted it was to threaten us to sign papers or the car would be taken. We were assured that once we signed the financial paperwork that the tag issue would be resolved the next day. It is now day two and the issue is still unresolved. Just a ploy to get us in to sign the paperwork. We will be seeking legal assistance. Already spoke to Peoples Bank who I cant understand why they would have their name attached to such a *** company. I have to admit, it was my foolishness to see the ratings and still take a chance on this dealership. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!

Bought a car from them in Nov 14,2019, the car is to be registered in Iowa. Still waiting for the title and registration so it can be transferred.
Purchased a 2012 Buick Lacrosse in Nov 14 2019 from Cherokee Auto. the car is to be registered in Iowa, but when the Iowa DMV received paper work in December it was not filled out correctly and they sent it back to Cherokee Auto Sales. I spoke to Amber in December 27th and she said she had been out with sick kids and she only need to sign the title and mail it back and would get it done that day. She did not. I spoke with the Iowa DMV on Jan 30th and they still had not received the needed documents. It is now February 2020 and still the paper work has not yet been received. I have tried numerous times to contact Amber and others in the company to get this resolved, but Ed, Josh and others always say she is not there and will come in later and return my call, but she NEVER does. I have asked to speak to the owner, but no one seems to know who that is and I was given the name of Mr. Richardson. How much does it take to correct the documents and mail to the Iowa DMV? If Amber worked for me she would have been fired a long time ago. I am tired of renting cars, and taking Lyfts to get around. I bought the car to drive NOT to sit in my drive way.

Desired Outcome

Would like the documents corrected and and get it mailed out to the Iowa DMV no later than Feb 17th. According to Amber says she only needed to sign the title. I can then get my car registered and be able to drive it.

I can't get an answer as to when I am going to receive the car's paperwork. Need title, odometer reading, bill of sale etc.
Money received by business 10-10-19. Car received by me in Wichita Kansas 10-13-19. All paperwork signed by buyer 10-15-19 and overnighted to car dealer. Have been calling since, leaving messages, talking to Teresa, Ed and Amber about when I am going to receive the title, etc. Receive different stories, get put on hold, been hung up on, people out, etc. I am just looking to get my paperwork as soon as possible so I can register my car in Kansas. As soon as the car is registered in Kansas it will be shipped to California for my son's use. Cannot do this until it is registered in Kansas. Am paying a rental car in the meantime.

Desired Outcome

A communication as to when the paperwork will be received. a firm date, as soon as possible to avoid rental car bills.

These clowns are the worst I have ever dealt with! 2 1/2 hr.trip over there..Mike calls 3 times to make sure we're still on our way. When we get 15 minutes from their place Mike calls again and says "we're sorry man,we sold the car you're coming to buy about 30 minutes ago but we got plenty more im sure you will be interested in." we went on in to the half *** dealership and met ***...Bait and Switch.dont go there !!!

The customer had spoken to several people at our dealership and even advised at one point he "preferred speaking with a female". The customer was given information over the phone regarding the vehicle, including, that it was first come first serve, if a deposit was not given to hold the vehicle. He was given this information and it was stressed due to him stating he was coming from Alabama. The minute the vehicle sold, which was about 30 minutes prior to the customers arrival, he was called and made aware of the information as we had promised prior that we would let him know if someone came in and purchased. The customer chose to continue his trip to the dealership and upon arrival was greeted by the sales person, the lady he spoke with throughout the week and the owner. The customer stated he understood and wanted to look at other vehicles and as he was being assisted he chose to leave without advising anyone he decided not continue his vehicle shopping. Although it is clear the customer is upset it is not appropriate or legal to slander any employees because he is simply upset. This customer had the opportunity several times to put a deposit on the vehicle and hold it for 5 business days guaranteeing it would be here upon arrival. As in the majority of businesses selling a product they would not be successful denying sales to customers based on a possibility that another customer may or may not be arriving later to "look" at a vehicle with no guarantee of purchase.

Customer Response • Jan 16, 2019

the female was the one that said"i know you had rather speak to a girl",as in a joke ,which is how I took it...I was never offered any option to "hold "the vehicle,he knew we were coming early that morning to BUY the car.10 minutes before we arrived he called and he said he had just sold it,and immediately started offering me other cars,,,This low class lot never had a 2018 camry,,,,bait and switch,,, they wanted to sell me much older, higher mileage junk.

Upon purchasing a vehicle from this business, I have had to sign a contract that was rewritten 3 times. Each time being different. I was told I would have a car note of a price I agreed to and my warranty payment would be paid separately from my car note. This idea would allow me to pay a comfortable amount for both the car and the warranty. I then had to go back only to be told that I am no longer allowed to pay the warranty out of pocket and it must be incorporated within my payments causing an added interest rate which in turn has now increased my monthly payments by more than 100 bucks than the original rate. I go back again, to find out that I now owe another 500 dollars more on top of the 2 grand ive already paid as a down payment. They told me one thing about my payments and contract just to force me off the lot with the car and then turn around a couple of weeks later and give a completely different contract. I am not pleased at all! As I left the lot with one rate in mind that works for my personal and financial situations, I now have to deal with something completely different and more expensive. Not to mention, my transmission blew within the FIRST MONTH of owning the vehicle! I inquired about the engine light that was on during the time of purchase and the lady that works there told me it was only because an oil change was due. It was the transmission! They are scammers and are only looking to make a quick sale with no regards to the customer AT ALL!

Refund I am not satisfied with the extra charges I am being required to pay! I have to come up with an additional 500 that I was not aware of when I was told that my warranty could be paid out of pocket at the time of my initial contract. My car note went from 233 to 346 PLUS the extra 500 that I must pay within the next 10 days! My finances with this company has changed from the moment I walked onto the lot til the time of final contracts. This should have been figured out from day one!

In regards to Mr. and the financing of his vehicle, the contract was initially written with the customer financing the full balance of warranty with his loan. The financial institute that holds the loan on Mr. vehicle required that he put an additional $500 down payment. (this occurred due to the bank needing the customer to pay out of pocket the additional 20% of the warranty down)
Upon receiving the credit application and contract for the customer the bank then notified Cherokee Auto Sales of the additional required down payment of $500.
The customer was contacted on October 2, 2018 regarding the banks's decision after reviewing the loan documents. At that time the customer was made aware of the banks change in terms of the loan. At that time, the option of self-paying for the warranty was given to Mr. as an alternative to the additional down payment. Mr. decided that he would be self-paying for the warranty. Which means he would be financing the warranty through Wells Fargo which they offer as an option for payment on their warranties.
The finance company then produced a perfected contract for Mr. sans the warranty amount. When he came to the dealership to sign the contract from the bank he then informed us that the vehicle was in the shop and currently has an open warranty claim on it.
Mr. was then informed that we would be unable to cancel the existing warranty with the now open claim on it. Which needs to happen in order to start the new self-pay warranty.
Discussed with the bank again about financing the warranty into the loan. They agreed to again finance the warranty with the stipulation that the customer put an additional $500 down.
Contract was provided to me by the bank and Mr. was made aware of the situation. He came to the dealership on Monday October 29, 2018 , at that time he signed an updated and revised bill of sale showing the correct down payment and finance amount. In addition to signing the updated Bill of Sale, Mr. also signed a pickup payment acknowledgement confirming he owed and agreed to pay the additional needed down payment.
Cherokee Auto Sales acted with integrity in regards to this situation.

I purchase a 2015 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Coupe 2 weeks ago from Dawn E and let me tell you, she was "Top Notch" and far best person I've ever dealt with in purchasing a vehicle. I saw with my own eyes Dawn working 3 deals at a time and she made sure everyone was approved at the end of the day including myself. She was totally a "God Send". She has the best personality when you meet her. I'm so happy with my purchased & especially working with & meeting Dawn.

It has been our pleasure to provide Mr *** with his families previously owned vehicle needs!

Great car dealership with great prices and value. Business has been on Hwy 92 longer than most car dealerships and treats customers fairly. Family owned and run, owner is very hands on taking care of customers after the sale. Will be a repeat customer many times.

I have had a terrific experience with Cherokee Auto Sales and have bought several cars from them. I would reccomend my friends and family.

They cancelled warranty policy without our knowledge and giving us runaround about getting it reinstated or our money back.
On Jan 1, 20118 we purchased a 2007 Dodge Dakota from them. We had no choice in purchasing the service agreement which cost us $2,246. The warranty is with Warranty Solutions. On about April 20, 2018 we received a letter from Warranty Solutions dated April 14, 2018, saying they received the request for cancellation and it was processed as of March 1, 2018 and to contract the dealership (Cherokee Auto Sales) with questions regarding a refund. I called Cherokee Auto the day we received the letter and talked with *** (she handles all of the paperwork). She said she received the same letter and thought that we cancelled it and didn't think anything about it. I told her we did not cancel it and want it reinstated. She said she would handle it. On April 26, I hadn't heard anything so I called again and received busy signals. On April 30, I called Warranty Solutions. They said that someone from Cherokee Auto Sales went into the online system and requested it be cancelled due to repossession. The truck was not repossessed and was never in danger of being repossessed. Still not hearing anything from ***, I called again. She said that she talked to *** (the owner) and neither of them know how or why this happened and that she was going to have it reinstated and will send me the paperwork that afternoon once completed. On May 7, I called Warranty Solutions again and they said it has not been reinstated yet. I asked if a refund had been processed yet and she said that it was refunded to Cherokee Auto's account on April 13. Still not receiving a call from ***, I called her again. She was not in the office or busy so I left a message for her to call me back. On May 8, after no call back, I called her again. She said *** was going to call the representative to get it fixed because of it being cancelled due to repossession and that she would call me bask as soon as it was completed. On May 14, still no call back, I called again. I was told *** was out of the office due to an emergency. I asked for *** and was told he was not in the office so I left a message for him to call me back. On May 15, after no call, I called again and was told that *** won't be back until later in the week, earliest tomorrow, and that *** was at auction. I again asked for him to call me back. This policy was cancelled over 2 months ago and I have been trying to get resolution for at least 6 weeks no. They have my money and I want it back either with the policy reinstated or the money refunded to us.

Desired Outcome

I want the policy reinstated or a full refund of the $2,246 that we paid for it. This policy was cancelled over 2 months ago and I have been trying to get resolution for at least 6 weeks no. They have my money and I want it back either with the policy reinstated or the money refunded to us.

The warranty was mistakenly cancelled due to repossession. The warranty on the Dodge Dakota Mr. & Mrs. purchased was reinstated and the situation has been rectified. Our apologies for the mistake.

I purchased a 07 Tahoe on Nov XX XXXX and it's Feb X XXXX and still no title. So know all my temporary tags have all expired and know I don't have a car to drive and the rude woman at Cherokee said it's not there problem and she said they would not be taking the truck back and said if I stop making payments my credit would take hit. Thank god I didn't put any money down. DONT TRUST ANYTHING THESES PEOPLE SAY
Product_Or_Service: 07 Chevy Tahoe

Desired Outcome

Finish the job Either get me the title or take the truck back

Cherokee Auto Sales Response • Aug 27, 2018

The Title was processed on 2/21/18 . The state of GA has sent title to the lien holder in this case.

I signed a contract with them in March of this year . The vehicle went down in less than a week , I contacted the dealership to inform them of the problem . They told me bring the vehicle back to get fixed . I asked them why because I had the warranty & they should fix it . They told me the warranty wouldn't kick in until I drove the vehicle 1,000 miles or at least drive the car for a month . So I was forced to bring the car back to get fixed . They gave me a loaner car with NO insurance . I was stopped multiple times received tickets . I received my car 5 MONTHS later ! The financing company *** FINANCIAL started calling & texting about an upcoming payment . I didn't even have the car back for a month so finally I got in touch with management & let them know I wasn't aware of an upcoming payment . I let them know I purchased the car in March & they don't have any record of my application from that month . Finally I convinced them to send me the second application they have for me which was dated in AUGUST ! I returned the car to *** FINANCIAL and they canceled my contract for fraud purposes . Now CHEROKEE AUTO SALES refuses to refund my down payment !

Refund Refund of down payment

We apologize for the inconvenience. This was an oversight between the lien holder and the dealership. Situation was resolved.

I purchased a vehicle on 03/26/17, on 05/01/2017 I have still not received my title car is paid in full, also overcharged for title fee and a GAP fee.
on 03/26/2017 I drove to GA from NC to purchase a vehicle, SECU paid for this vehicle in full, I have yet to receive my title for this vehicle on 05/01/2017 they are refusing to re-issue my temp tags and they will expire before I am able to register in NC. I was told on several occasions that my title would be over-nighted and the confirmation # would be sent to me, after 2 weeks of receiving nothing I contacted them again to speak with a very rude office manager "Liz" who stated my title was received on this past Friday at 4:03 pm. When reviewing GA law the title transfer fee is only 18 dollars, I am not receiving tags in GA so there should not be the $20.00 tag fee, also there is a charge of $25.00 for GAP that I never even discussed as my car is NOT financed through them. This entire process has been a nightmare. And remains to be unresolved at this time.

Desired Outcome

I would like my title for my vehicle to be overnighted to state employees credit union, and I would like my $45.00 to be refunded in a certified check and overnighted to me immediately as well.

Cherokee Auto Sales Response • Aug 27, 2018

In this instance, the title was not produced to us in a timely manner by the auction we purchased the vehicle through.. The customer received their title and situation was resolved.
