Ok, this is just ridiculousI live with my family and the utilities are under my sister's nameWe moved during the Summertime from a few blocks over and apparently there was an unpaid balance at our previous addressWe went months without any knowledge of this until Christmas timeI find it funny that we were able to have our water and utility services at this new house for MONTHS if our outstanding balance was really that highAnyway, we agree to pay off the balanceWe don't want any other issuesWe make payment arrangementsA few weeks go by and we get a disconnect noticeWe call them to figure out whyThey say it is a mistake on their part and we confirm our previous payment arrangementsThen today (1/8/15) as I'm watching TV in my living room, I hear the screen to our front doorI open the door and find a notice of disconnectionWe check our sink and confirm our water had been shut offWhat is this? No phone call? No email? Not so much as a knock on our front door? This is truly patheticAfter contacting their offices at approximately 4:pm we are told we can have our water turned back on if we can make a payment by pmAfter rushing to put money on a debit card to make a payment, we contacted the office againThey process the payment and we find out that it was yet ANOTHER mistake from their office!It turns out our payment arrangement was for January 25thI simply cannot express the level of frustration that Cherokee Metropolitan District has brought for my familyDue to our location in the city we don't have a choice of where we receive our utility services fromI'll tell you thoughIf given the choice we would NOT have service with them and I certainly would NOT recommend their services to othersThey operate like amateurs and need to get it together
