Thank you for reaching out to Cherry Creek Dermatology, PC We do accept Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance plans You stated in your letter that you called to see if we accepted a gold plan with Anthem Blue Cross/Shield plans at our office We do accept certain plans If you had called and asked if we take Anthem Gold Pathway HMO 1100/10% plan which is the specific name for your plan as stated on your insurance card we would have shared with you that we do not accept that plan Sadly, with the amount of insurance plans available for all patients, it is the patient's responsibility to know which offices take their specific insurance plan Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield offers a website where you can place your specific insurance plan into the system and it will help you find Doctors that accept your specific plan This website is very specific and asks that you put your exact plan name into the system to get the most accurate coverage Additionally, our biller did provide a discount by offering you what your bill would have been if your insurance plan was covered by our office Please note you did sign our paperwork regarding "about financial arrangements, medical insurance and notice of privacy practices."
