Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: First of all I need to get all of this cleared upI had asked my boyfriend to stop by my house on July because I was working late and needed him to take my dog outsideHe entered the home and it was in the houseMind you I had already previously had to call about my A/c Unit and *** said it was fixedSo finding this out while I was working was very worryingSo I gave him the emergency maintenance line to call so my dog would not have heat stroke while I was at workHe called and said the same thingThat *** had replaced a part and to leave it off a few hours and then call back if it isn't workingSo that's what I did even though it was 12:It doesn't matterIts called an EMERGENCY maintenance line for a reasonIt was an emergencyOf course he didn't answerSo I left a messageDidn't keep calling backLeft it at that and decided to tough it out and be hot and sweaty all night. The next day I did visit the office and talked with the ladies and they did not seem sympathetic or caring at allThey said they were waiting on a part and that it should be in todayI kept calling every few hours*** did answer once and straight up LIED to me and told me that *** was on his way to fix itHe never cameAnother hour passed byThen they stopped answeringEven though it was before they closedNo one answered for a little bitSo I decided to drive up there just to see *** walking out the doorSo she was simply just not answering my callsVery professional way to run a businessShe then realized she was caught in a lie and I was right thereShe then told me that she didn't know why the maintenance guy wasn't there and he should've been*** gave me his number and then proceeded to leave right awayDon't wait for me to call or sort things outNope just took offCome to find out she was lying big timeI called the emergency maintenance lineThe guy on the line has NO IDEA what shes talking about and said the parts never came inAlso that he would call me back after he talked to herHe did not and then never answered againThe next day around maybe (very late in the afternoon) the guy finally came to work on my A/c. The point of all this is that I just wanted my a/c fixedIts not that hardI go to school and work my job over nightI live alone and pay all my billsI am just trying to get by and having to call in work all the time for the a/c was not helping anythingI wasn't trying to be difficult or rudeI just wanted it fixed. I am also replying againBecause they still have never fixed the a/c unitHe said it was fixed but I have the a/c unit they gave me and my a/c running and it cant cool my house below I'm assuming that's not fixedThere is also a heat warning in STL right nowI'm over here just baking in my houseOH called the office again today to tell them the a/c unit wasn't even blowing out cold airOf course Ruby told me she would send someone and she did notAlso no one is answering as usualI have never dealt with a more unprofessional and just incompetent staff that doesnt care at all about their residents well being
Sincerely,

Unfortunately, I would need specific dates to respond accurately to Ms. [redacted]’s accusations of us not answering or responding to her requests. As stated in my previous response, every time we received a call from [redacted], we responded in a timely matter and took her very seriously. [redacted] called the emergency line on Saturday, July 22, 2017 stating her air condition (ac) wasn’t cooling. [redacted], the on-call maintenance technician, went to [redacted]’s apartment and turned off the ac with instructions to keep it off until the following day because the compressor was extremely hot. [redacted] did have a 1-ton window air conditioning unit that cools up to 800 square feet, her apartment is 629 square feet.[redacted] arrived early Sunday, July 23, 2017, and the ac unit was running again. [redacted] knocked on the door to ask her to turn it off but [redacted] didn’t answer the door. [redacted] did not enter [redacted]’s apartment because of her dog. [redacted] then called the emergency line again on Sunday afternoon stating her ac still isn’t working. [redacted] said he would come out there again, but she must turn off the ac unit. When [redacted] arrived Sunday evening, the ac would not turn on because the compressor was too hot. [redacted] told [redacted] he would be out the following day, Monday, to diagnose and repair the ac. Monday, July 24, 2017, [redacted] deep cleaned the coils and charged the ac unit. [redacted] then went in [redacted]’s apartment and confirmed with her that there was a 20-degree drop from the air coming out of the vents.   I, the Property Manager, personally have tried to reach Ms. [redacted] to make sure her air conditioning is still working correctly. I still have not received a call back.

Cherry Creek received a call on the emergency maintenance phone from [redacted]’s boyfriend at 9:39 pm on Saturday, July 8, 2017. The caller stated that apartment 235-A Olive View’s air conditioner wasn’t cooling. [redacted] Stair, our maintenance supervisor arrived at 235-A Olive View at 10:00 pm....

[redacted] then replaced the condenser fan motor compositor and discovered the blower and compressor were very hot. [redacted] advised [redacted] to turn off air conditioner for at least 3-hours to allow the motor and condenser to cool then turn the air conditioner back on. [redacted] also told [redacted] to call him back the following morning if the air conditioner still wasn’t blowing cold air. [redacted] called the emergency phone at 12:57 am on July 9, 2017 and left a message stating that her air conditioner still wasn’t working. [redacted] returned [redacted]s call at 1:03 am on July 9, 2017 and told [redacted] that he would be out there the following day, when its light outside to fix the air conditioner. [redacted] was sitting outside the office on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at 11:45 am waiting for the office to open. [redacted] went outside to go to his truck and [redacted] got out of her car and asked [redacted] why he hasn’t returned to her apartment. [redacted] informed [redacted] that he was getting ready to head to her apartment. [redacted] and James went to [redacted]'s apartment on Sunday, July 9, 2017, to fix the air conditioner. They discovered it needed a new blower motor. We just ordered 2 blower motors on Friday, July 7, 2017 and were waiting for the shipment. Since 235-A Olive View is a 1 bedroom and 629 square feet, [redacted] and James installed a 1-ton window air conditioning unit that cools up to 800 square feet until we received the shipment of the motors. [redacted] came into leasing office on Monday, July 10, 2017 and asked her status on her air conditioning unit and I, [redacted] Laramie, the Property Manager, told her I order the part needed to repair her air conditioning unit on Friday, July 7, 2017, and we were waiting on the shipment to arrive. I also told [redacted] I would contact her as soon as we received the part to let her know when we would fix the air conditioner and remove the window unit. Unfortunately, stores in this area do not carry the part needed and we didn’t receive shipment yet. [redacted] saw [redacted] Sterman, the Assistant Manager, leaving the office at 6:15 pm on July 10, 2017 and she stated her air conditioner still wasn’t working and she keeps calling the office but we won’t answer. [redacted] told her we don’t answer phones after 6:00 pm because we are closed to contact the emergency maintenance line and gave her the number. [redacted] then called the number and [redacted] left the property.  [redacted] called the emergency phone at 6:11 pm on July 10, 2017, and told James we still didn’t show up to fix her air conditioner and wanted to know when we’re going to her apartment. James informed [redacted] that the motor wasn’t delivered yet. [redacted] called again at 6:30 pm and 6:43 pm requesting James to give her [redacted] the Property Manager’s cell phone number. James informed [redacted] he can’t release personal phone numbers but he would let [redacted] know to contact her in the morning. [redacted] left a voicemail on Cherry Creek’s leasing line at 7:50 pm on July 10, 2017, stating we are ignoring her and she wants her air conditioner fixed. [redacted] Sterman called [redacted] back at 9:30 am when she arrived in the office and apologized to [redacted] and told her the office was closed and her air conditioner will be fixed today, July 11, 2017, since the parts arrived at 9:00 am. [redacted] said okay and hung up phone. James Womack, a maintenance technician, finished installing the blower motor into [redacted]’s air conditioner at 3:00 pm on July 11, 2017, and it is currently blowing out cool air to the set temperature. Unfortunately, we are unable to compensate rent. We followed all correct protocols in a timely professional matter. We also installed a 1-ton window ac unit until the new motor arrived. We kept [redacted] informed the entire process and the air conditioner is now fixed and working properly.
