Cherryville Animal Hospital, PC Reviews (4)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me However, I do want to make it clear that the business did not speak to me about the $on the phone as they are statingIt was not until I had the dog's body in their facility that they told me they made a mistakeAt this point I had no choice since there was already a verbal agreement with an offer over the phone of $and my acceptance by bringing the body to the facility. Please let me know if a check will be issued and sent to my home address or if they will credit my credit card which was used that date Regards, [redacted] ***

To whom it may concern:First of all, let me say that my sympathies go out to the family for the loss of their petI was just made aware of this complaint, the previous email did not come to my attentionI have reviewed the records and spoken to all parties involved. We do not cremate animalsThe service we provide is to make arrangements for the bodies to be be picked up by another company that does the actual cremationWe do the paperwork, keep the bodies in cold storage until they are picked up, and bill the ownerThe other company then bills usWhen [redacted] called for the price of cremation, he was given the price for the weight of the dogUnfortunately, our newest employee did not realize that ashes are not returned with a standard cremationAlthough she quoted him the correct price, she should not have told him that he would get the ashes backIn order for the ashes to be returned, an "individual" or "private" cremation must be ordered and it is significantly more expensiveAll of the above was explained to [redacted] at the time along with our sincere apologies for the confusionThe two forms of cremation were offered to [redacted] ***, the $standard cremation and the $private cremationAfter speaking with a family member by phone, [redacted] chose the more expensive cremationWe did not "insist he pay the $180.00".To put this matter to rest, I will pay [redacted] the $and we will pay for his pet's private cremationIn the future, [redacted] is asked to seek veterinary services elsewhere.Sincerely,DrCarla M***

service we provide is to make arrangements for the bodies to be be picked up by another company that does the actual cremation. We do the paperwork, keep the bodies in cold storage until they are picked up, and bill the owner. The other company then bills us. When [redacted] called for the price of cremation, he was given the price for the weight of the dog. Unfortunately, our newest employee did not realize that ashes are not returned with a standard cremation. Although she quoted him the correct price, she should not have told him that he would get the ashes back. In order for the ashes to be returned, an "individual" or "private" cremation must be ordered and it is significantly more expensive. All of the above was explained to [redacted] at the time along with our sincere  apologies for the confusion. The two forms of cremation were offered to [redacted], the $95.00 standard cremation and the $180.00 private cremation. After speaking with a family member by phone, [redacted] chose the more expensive cremation. We did not "insist he pay the $180.00".To put this matter to rest, I will pay [redacted] the $85.00 and we will pay for his pet's private cremation. In the future, [redacted] is asked to seek veterinary services elsewhere.Sincerely,Dr. Carla M[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  However, I do want to make it clear that the business did not speak to me about the $180 on the phone as they are stating. It was not until I had the dog's body in their facility that they told me they made a mistake. At this point I had no choice since there was already a verbal agreement with an offer over the phone of $95 and my acceptance by bringing the body to the facility. Please let me know if a check will be issued and sent to my home address or if they will credit my credit card which was used that date.
