Incomplete work on 10 month warranty work orders for 6 weeks.Service Order [redacted] for [redacted] replaced the tile in master bath, however vendor arrived on July 1st as schedule with no intent to repair the hardwood floors. I was told they had just received notification for Chesapeake on June 30th, however the date issued on service order was June 17th? I have called a left a voicemail with the vendor about an update with no returned call. It has been over 1 month since issue date and no resolution or projected time for repair. At this point the floor continues to develop more issues and I believe there may have been an issue with the floor from the manufacture or it was not installed properly.Service Order [redacted] for [redacted] Concrete, never showed on July 1st as scheduled. I have since called the company direct and was told they would have some one reach out to me for an appointment. Ches Homes does not want perform warranty work per contract to correct siding color showing ripples and parse foundationItem 1We purchased the townhome Feb, 23, 2015. I showed [redacted], Ches. Homes employee, the ripples in siding and he said it had been fixed, but then it was replaced with a different shade/color of vinyl siding. The 3 month service request (May, 2015) for warranty items included repairing the vinyl siding showing marks of where the nails under the siding was showing ripples through the vinyl siding. Our concern was that the nails would wear holes into the vinyl siding and the sheathing would eventually show problems later. After several requests, Ches. Homes finally replaced the vinyl siding but when it was replaced with a different shade/color. I have not signed a work order that the work was completed to my satisfaction, so I consider the issue still open. [redacted] hammered the nails in as they replaced siding, but not all nails were hammered and nails were again showing in many places under the vinyl siding. The installers all agreed that all the siding needed to come down, nails hammered, and siding installed, but [redacted] of Chesapeake Homes did not agree as he thinks that the problem is the vinyl siding and not workmanship of the framing crews that Chesapeake Homes hired. I put the same service request on the 10 month request (Dec, 2015), as it was an open issue not corrected by the 3 month service request, and then was told by [redacted], field supervisor, in person and [redacted], Ches. Homes President, relayed message thru [redacted] that Ches. Homes would not correct the siding and would not make the siding to match the front and back. They said that was not part of the warranty as Ches. Homes had already replaced it one time. One time it was patched and the siding did not match and then it was replaced again so the entire side matched, but it does not match the front or back of the townhome. [redacted] kept telling me that the sun would eventually fade and match the original siding, but the CHE VP, [redacted], and supervisor, [redacted] and the installers themselves indicated the new shade/color would never fade enough to match the original shade/color. I have requested from CHE who the vinyl siding supplier as to who the manufacture is and why the difference in shade/color since Oct, 2015 and no response.I have requested [redacted] to have an onsite meeting with me and he has yet to do so after numerous requests.Ches. Homes and the siding supplier, [redacted], knew that the new siding did not match and nothing was done to correct it. When I pointed out to Ches. Homes and CHE that the shade/color did not match, they went ahead and completed installing the wrong shade/color. Ches. Homes has also been notified that the work order remains active as I have not signed a work order that the work was completed.Item 2I put on the 10 month service request to check the foundation insulation, there is space between the insulation and foundation. [redacted] told me that would not be completed to parse the foundation and insulation. We were told in the walk through prior to closing that the insulation and foundation to keep water out from between them and that there should be no space/gap between the insulation and foundation. I have been told by a contractor and I agree that water will get between the 2 and cause issues later.Desired SettlementChesapeake Homes, VALicense #: [redacted]Chesapeake Homes, NCLicense[redacted]Item 1First of all, I would like to meet with [redacted], President of Ches. Homes, on site within 1 week.Second, I would like the current vinyl siding to be removed for entire townhome and replaced with same shade/color. We do not believe this is too much to ask as that is what we asked for originally and Ches. Homes has made 2 attempts to correct and it now looks worse because of the 2 shades/colors on the townhome. Since the vinyl manufacture, CHE (installer) and Chesapeake Homes (builder) all knew that the new installation of the new siding on the side of the townhome did not match, the work was done but not to customer satisfaction. Ches. Homes has made 2 attempts to correct this issue and failed both times. They are just trying to do a patch job and not complete the job to customer satisfaction. We did not pay for a townhome with 2 different shades/colors of vinyl siding. There has been 3 different shade/colors used, original shade/color when we purchased and then 2 other different shade/colors during the attempts to fix.Item 2I would like Chesapeake Homes to parse the foundation and insulation. Since the initial conversation with [redacted] was that there would be no space between insulation and foundation to keep water out, Ches. Homes needs to parse and complete as expected.[redacted] will only do warranty work that is authorized by [redacted] to do as she says [redacted] is "her eyes and ears in NC" and will not make a trip to NC to check it out as I have requested her to do, as she is the warranty manger.I have documented vinyl siding issues since the initial walk thru in Feb., 2015 to now and I can provide that if needed. The 3 month and 10 month service requests were sent to:Chesapeake Homes[redacted]Attn[redacted] Warranty manager.[redacted]
