In response to the complaint received regarding Cheseldine Management, please be advised of the following:1) The complainant was a participant in the Self-Help Housing program, and, as such, was the party ultimately responsible for all final constructionThe complainant also signed a waiver
upon program Completion acknowledging all work was complete and holding Cheselding Management and SMTCCAC harmless.2) Cheseldine Management served as a consultant and project manager to ensure program completion and provided oversight for Construction Managers to ensure completion in accordance with the house designFencing was not part of the house design, but was added by the homeowners who had money left in their loanCMC was in no way responsible for any activity related to installation offencingAdditional fencing Was authorized by the lender (USDA/Rural Development).3) All preliminary grading and site work was in place and satisfactory prior to the homeowner receiving their loan.4) USDA/Rural Development completed inspections throughout the Construction process, including a final inspection of all activity before converting the construction loan to a permanent loanAll Construction activities were subject to county inspections as wellAt no time, to our knowledge, did either inspection determine a problemIn addition, the property was subject to sediment controls under the direction of the local Soil Conservation Office, which also provided sign-offs upon project Completion.5) The complainant was advised in writing at the time the CMC Contract was ended that if there Were anyoutstanding issues she needed to coordinate with USDA/RDMy understanding is that no contact was made regarding this issue for over a year.Cheseldine Management successfully implemented the project for which it was hired and fulfilled all requirements to ensure the construction of the Self-Help community in a satisfactory mannerOnce they take possession of the house and complete final inspections with USDA, the homeowners are responsible for all maintenance and work on the homés and propertyHomeowners were fully aware of this at the time they applied and have signed documents related to suchAs a result, this complaint is baseless and the homeowner needs to take responsibility.Should you require additional information or wish to discuss this further, please do nothesitate to contact me

I am rejecting this response because: Cheseldine management knew the unsafe yard issue they left me with. The yard is costing $10,000 to fix which is not a small fee. Cheseldine management sent a soil conservation company out to do an estimate which came to $1300 to find out this company only did the estimate  as a favor per Mr. Tom K[redacted] to cheseldine management the conservation company dose not do any of the work involved in the estimate which was fake.
