There was to be no conversation from this customer and their mind was made up it happened at my facility. The cloths are designed to not hold any debris and the customer was offered a chance to see the equipment and give me some sort of indicator of where she thought it may have happened. I was offered none of those other than she went to law school and must be right. I would think a student of the law would know there are 2 sides and without evidence no case. Chester Auto Wash will not be paying for repairs as there is no evidence that the damage happened at our facility and furthermore this customer is fired. Over 13 years there has been zero customers that a problem could not be fixed. Until now.

This response was received from the business on 04/26/17.Wed, Apr 26, 2017 at 1:14 PM The owner brought the vehicle up to the car wash for me to inspect the scratches on her mirror. There were 2-3 straight gouges along the left outside mirror of her car. I asked if she heard anything going...

through the wash and she didn't know. I explained to her that the car wash is soft cloth and all the equipment either spins or sways back and forth and there was nothing that could cause those gouges unless there was damage to equipment, which there wasn't. Also I explained that the car wash would have damaged more than just her car that day and it didn't. 13 years we have been operating and there have been some broken antennas, some rear wiper arms which are all common to the industry. In those 13 years there have been 0 scratches or even complaints of scratches. Our equipment is maintained on a regular basis and we take all damage inquiries seriously. This customer had their mind made up that the car wash did the damage after owning the car for 2 weeks and was demanding we repair it without any evidence.
