I paid for travel insurance in March for a trip scheduled in October When I cancelled the trip on April 14th I was told by Travel Safe Insurance that I would not be refunded by fee of $because it was past the week limitThey are keeping the full amount even though the trip was still months awayI would never buy trip insurance againTravel Safe Insurance is a total rip off

Trip Mate, Inc., is the claims administrator for plan [redacted] that includes travel insurance benefits offered by [redacted]...

[redacted] insurance Company, and we appreciate the opportunity to address [redacted]'s additional concerns. The customer indicated that she did not receive any updates regarding her claim and that she did not receive full reimbursement for her claimed expenses. Our records show that the Customer filed a claim for reimbursement of the additional airfare she incurred to join her trip due to a flight delay, as well as additional clothing expenses incurred due to a baggage delay. The customer's missed connection claim was paid in full, and her baggage delay claim was paid to the maximum benefit limit of $250.00 per person."Our records also show that the customer's file was placed in an expedited status on November 30, 2016, the customer's claim was approved for benefits on December 1, 2016, and a customer service supervisor subsequently spoke with the customer regarding the outcome of her claim on December 2, 2016. We are sorry if the customer remains not satisfied with the outcome of her claim; however, her claim was reviewed according to the plan provisions.Should you have any further questions, please let us know.Sincerely,Lorraine M. Thank you for your September 22, 2017, correspondence-forwarded to our office from Travel Safe-regarding the above-noted claim. [redacted], Inc., is the claims administrator for Plan [redacted] that includes short-term travel insurance benefits underwritten by [redacted] Company, and we appreciate the opportunity to address Ms. V[redacted]“.The Customer indicated that she was dissatisfied with the claim denial and indicated that the reason for the denial was confusing. When the claim was reviewed, the information received showed that the trip was canceled by the customer on April 21, 2017. After the finalization of the claim and appeal, we found that the customer submitted documentation to our office on . August 5, 2017, which had not yet made it to the claim file, but showed the trip was canceled with the travel supplier on May 16, 2017, which impacted our claims analysis. As a result, we immediately approved payment in full and final settlement of the claim on September 22, 2017. The customer's e-check processed on September 25, 2017, and an email was sent to the customer with instructions to cash the check. Our records show that the check was cashed on September 28, 2017, and so We Consider this matter closed.We hope this is responsive to your concerns. I am rejecting this response because: TravelMate did not meet their review time for claims, they never followed up with me to provide an update or call as they said they would for a whole month, and they did not pay out the amounts I was told. They shorted me about $1000 of my expenses and have no willingness to make right by their wrongs & responsibility.

Review: According to the policy the claim is being processed within 10 days and that is if all the documents were all available. Well I have complied and provided all the documents along with other documents that were asked for. Each time there was a missing document and I sent the document would take them another 10 days. However, the first time however was processing the claim they just simply put that the proof of policy purchase is missing, along with other receipts which was not true because I specifically had label them for them to not have that problem. Then I had requested all the pays to be under my name. They asked a signed letter from the second person to be sent. We sent the letter. However, they had decided that just signed letter is not enough, that is after another 10 days. (their mistake for asking just a signed letter then changing their minds about it.) So I sent the notarized letter which they had requested. Process took another 10 days. In conclusion, I have been wasting 10+10 and many more days together 2 moths on the companies mistakes. I have complied with all the requirements but did not get my items delivered. Now the supervisors on the other hand I do not think have any power to expedite the claim because last time I have talked to a supervisor was a 13 days from now..Desired Settlement: I just want this company to start hiring people who are careful and do their jobs on time. And I want my claim checks to be processed ASAP. 2 moths vs 10 days that is insane.

He submitted a claim both for himself and for his traveling companion, and he asked that benefits for his traveling companion's claim be paid to him. The file was not property routed at that point and appropriate follow up and handling did not occur. The claims administrator is now issuing payment to **. [redacted] .
