Last Monday I stepped out of my shop and my assistant is from Bosnia and he has a heavy accent. This customer came to the shop and asked how...
much and my assistant said $15-$20 per pair, key words per pair. The customer heard what they wanted to hear and wanted it $20 total. Wednesday woman stepped into the shop and asked how much and I explained the total was $30 because it is $15 per pair. She accused me of calling her husband a liar but I explained that I was not aware of any conversation between her husband and my assistant and that the price was $15 per pair, $30 total. The man then came back and accused me of calling him a liar. I took out $10 cash to give him so that they would no longer have a complaint and he said no. This was just a misunderstanding and it is not my fault that he did not understand the information provided to him. I was willing to give him the $10 and still will to resolve this only if the customer agrees to never come back to my place of business.
I think the consumers may have misunderstood the quote. I offered to give them the $10 back and they refused both times. We are willing to give them the refund.
