Review: We bought a condo from Mr. [redacted] Chetty of Chetty Builders, Inc. He never built any of the condos and he is keeping our down payment of $32,000.00 This was in 2007. Mr. Chetty made an agreement to refund our money because the condos weren't being built--we never received anything. This man has no integrity. He has stolen our money.Desired Settlement: Chetty Builders must refund our money--they actually should refund it with interest!

I am writing with reference to a complaint filed on September 26, 2013 with the Revdex.com in regards to a condo purchased at [redacted] at [redacted].

Firstly, I truly apologize for the inconvenience and distress we may have created. I request that you can put aside your frustrations for just a moment so that I may have the opportunity to explain why this situation has advanced in the manner it has.

It is important to note that this complaint should not be directed at myself nor at Chetty Builders, Incorporated. The Agreement of Sale is written and signed by the Seller, [redacted] Development, LLC and the Purchasing party.

With that being said, [redacted] Development, LLC is presently in the process of re-launching our project in the same location in hopes that everything goes according to plan. Our company never intended to leave any investor empty-handed in any way; the economic decline that took place in 2008 -the exact time that we were scheduled to begin building - was beyond detrimental for our company as well as for our investors.

In light of this, we will continue to push forward and do everything in our power to gain the necessary approvals required to build this desirable project in [redacted], Delaware which we hope will allow our company to refund your deposit.

Dear **. [redacted],

Thank you for your phone call on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. We really don’t want to close this case.

Mr. Chetty has never kept his word. He has promised, over and over, to refund our $32,000.00. He states that “the economic decline that took place in 2008—the exact time that we were scheduled to begin building-was beyond detrimental for our company as well as for our investors.” He did start to the process to build [redacted]. He never built [redacted], yet he has built other projects in the Pennsylvania area. He has had us come in and sign a contract that states he will give us our money, but when it came to his turn to sign, someone would come in and tell him he had an important phone call. He promised to sign and send it to us. We received nothing.

We trusted him, not realizing that Mr. Chetty lacks integrity.

He has had our money since June 6, 2006...for seven years. He states he “will continue to push forward and do everything in our power to gain the necessary approvals required to build.” Yet, he must’ve had the necessary permits to build in [redacted] because he actually started the project, but suddenly left, and left a large group of people empty handed: they had no money and no home.

We want our money returned, and we want to warn other people of his business ethics.
