Chevrolet of Irvine Reviews (7)

Review: I went to Chevy of Irvine to purchase a vehicle on 12/18/2015. They ran my credit, which I consented to prior to starting negotiation of the automobiles. We discussed a few different vehicles, potential final prices, and estimates on potential car payments for finance and lease options. I left the dealership after not coming to an agreement on any vehicle. That day I ended up negotiating a lease for a car at Jeep Dealer in [redacted]. Following the holiday, I checked my mail, and received 2 letters of notifications from 2 different banks that Chevy of Irvine put in a finance application on my behalf for request for a loan. I found this quiet alarming as at no point did I finalize a car, a final price, or a down payment, so how would the dealership know what to include on the bank application. It would appear that after I left the dealership, Chevy of Irvine took it upon themselves to put in requests to multiple banks, so they can use information in further negotiations for a car before the end of the year. These multiple bank applications no doubt have negatively affected my credit report.Desired Settlement: This is not the type of ethical or appropriate business practices of a business that was accessibility my personal information should be doing without my consent. This business should be help accountable for these actions.

I bough a new stingray. It just has over 4,000 miles on it. I took it in for repairs as it has a bad prop shaft, the exhaust is falling off and it has a bad air vent in the dashboard that needs replacing. It has been at the shop for 3 weeks. Every day I have excuses, such as waiting for parts and waiting for the right technician to do the work. They are overwhelmed or too busy right now. At this point, I am having my attorney involved and sending the manufacturer an attorney's letter. I would never recommend this dealership. My car is still at the dealership and I have no idea when I am going to get it back.

Review: On 12-15-15, I purchased a BMW. On 12-22, I received a call from finance asking me to sign a new contract due to the fact that the dealership found a better warranty for me. On 12-26 I received a letter saying I must return the car because they were unable to find financing. I proceeded to call several times immediately after receiving the letter with no response. I then text the salesman, [redacted], to inquire. He informed me just to throw the letter away. Everything was fine. I still have the text messages. At 4:00 am on the morning I awoke to a tow driver taking the car. I immediately went outside and spoke with the driver. He said that the request to drop the car came from chevy of irvine, but he had no further information. After repeated calls on 1-25 to try to get some answers, I finally received a call from [redacted], the sales manager. He proceeded to tell me that they had no orders to reposses and suggested it may have been stolen, which I know is false because I saw the driver's paperwork with the dealership name on it. I was told I would be called the morning of 1-27 with answers. I have yet to receive those answers.Desired Settlement: I would either like the car back or my downpayment. I would also like the general public to be aware of the way this business conducts themselves.

Review: Cuts corners on basic maintenance and when caught they make excuses and try to charge more to correct. General Manager [redacted] was difficult to get in touch with and only wanted to talk with me at his convenience. Service manager was rude an lied when confronted in [redacted] office about customer concern. Unauthorized work performed without my knowledge or consent then threatened to "undo" when I ask about it. Other automotive issues resulted from inadequate service and customer with infant would have been stranded if not for a good samaritan.Desired Settlement: This veteran, young mom trying to put her life back together and start a new career didn't need the stress and didn't have the time for the inconvenience this whole situation caused. My best compensation would be to have an independent mechanic inspect and repair my vehicle at their expense. My stress, time and concern is irreplaceable.

Review: I purchased my vehicle 9 months ago from this dealership. The night I drove it off the lot, the transmission went out. , and they took it for 3 weeks. This car has been an ongoing issue, and has spent MONTHS in the shop. The general manager and service manager refuse to speak with me, or return my phone calls after they said they would work with me. I filed a claim with General Motors, and still nothing was done. They do not return phone calls, and treat customers poorly.Desired Settlement: I believe the dealership should take responsibility for the lemon they sold someone.

Took 07 avalanche in to replace instrument cluster panel. Upon completion of the repair, took the car home and within 2 days the car battery died. Took vehicle back and service technician stated the door latch on the diver side is bad causing the drainage on the battery. AT no time the cluster was tested. Had new latch replaced, took the car home and within 1 day, the battery died again. THIS IS A BRAND NEW BATTERY. Took the car back and this time insist on the testing of the cluster. Suddenly it is now determined that the cluster is bad. Had a new one replaced. Within a week, had to return to the dealer because the cluster is giving faulty warning on the dashboard. Had another one replaced. Within a week, had to return to the dealer because the cluster is now missing programming function. Finally have a fourth cluster replaced. To summarize the issue, had 4 clusters replaced, 3 jump starts from AAA at my cost, missing time due to multiple trip to the dealership, over $1000 out of pocket and when the issue is brought up to the management, their response is NOT OUR PROBLEM IF WE PUT IN FAULTY PARTS, JUST BE GLAD WE REPLACE THOSE 3 CLUSTERS FOR FREE. NEVER ACKNOWLEDGE ANY WRONGDOING AND WILL NOT COMPENSATE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE

Review: I found an advertisement from Chevrolet of Irvine in my mail box in form of a scratch game, claiming "if your scratch-off matches one of the prize squares below, you have won". So, I scratched the hidden prize, and it matched for the prize of $25000 in cash or a Chevy [redacted]. Then, I called the phone number on the ad as instructed. The representative asked my activation code on the ad, and when I gave here the code, she said: congratulations! you won the $25000 prize. Then, I took the ad to the showroom and a sales agent first told me "Obviously, you won the prize." , then, he asked me some questions about my income and also other information for the purpose of marketing.

After he finished his questions, he said: let's check your activation code with the winner codes! I told him that the advertisement clearly mentioned that I am a winner, besides that, there is no fine print or statement on the ad that says my code must match the winning code. It didn't say anything about conditional winning. He replied: "No, somebody else already won the prize, the one whose picture is on your ad"! I asked him: "If somebody else already won the prize, why would you send a scratch-off game to me claiming that I won?" and he said: " Everybody gets that ad with the $25000 prize on the scratch-off! we use this method to collect marketing data from people."

This is obviously a case of bait and switch; it may even be considered a fraud. I have a photo of the advertisement and can forward you upon your request. Nowhere on the ad has any fine print or noting that it is conditional or anything else. It clearly says I won the prize.Desired Settlement: Chevrolet of Irvine is responsible to keep their promises they make on the ad and I want the prize as it was promised on the ad as well as a sincere apology.
