to the inquiry in questionI have reviewed the complaint and will respond to each area: Pizza Italia did in fact receive a call from the complaintive on March 28, at approximately 6:18PMHe placed an order for two large Monday night Pizza Specials and his total tab after tax was $Our representative took the order and subsequently asks the customer for his credit card informationThe information was keyed into our processing system and submittedOur representative assumed the order processed and generated a ticket to the kitchenIt wasn't until approximately two hours later the customer called and wanted to verify where the order was in processingThe second representative was unable to locate an orderOur General Manager *** took over the call as the customer was of course irate*** listened to the customer and then placed him on hold to do a thorough research of the situationIn pulling the credit card batch report (which I have attached for quick reference)), it appears as though the credit card transaction failedA temporary hold was placed on the card for $19.46; however no monies were ever deducted from the account or paid by the financial institution to Pizza ItaliaThe attached report shows transaction number *** as the second line entryInvoice number *** failed and a subsequent void line is present on the reportThe total amount requested was $and the last four numbers of the member's credit card were *** explained that he could generate a new order for the customer but the order would need to be paid forA discussion ensued regarding human error versus system issuesThe complaintive wanted additional discounts, when in fact the original order was already discounted $for the Monday SpecialThe customer refused the offer for two pizzas at the discounted Monday rate and Pizza Italia considered the matter closedWe pride ourselves in serving the community for over yearsWe strive to produce the best product at the best priceWe have an excellent staff and feel that our integrity hasn't changed over the yearsIf the complaintive can produce a bank statement showing the $deduction paid to Pizza Italia, we will promptly work to see why our records indicate non-payment to Pizza ItaliaWe could also then comply with his wish to have two pizzas delivered at his convenienceI do want to reiterate that our records to date do not show us to be in receipt of said fundsRespectfully, Pizza Italia
