These people showed up at my door at 10 pm then again the next morning and when I approached the "boss" in the car he was very rude til my neighbor said we were calling the police then he got nice and then picked up his crew and high tailed it out of the area> 10 at night is NOT the time to knock on the door it was to cold for these people to be out and they all looked very shady!!!!!!

Thank
you for bringing the concerns of [redacted] (“Mr. [redacted]”) to the
attention of The Kirby Company (the “Company”).
The Company appreciates the opportunity to address Mr....

[redacted]’s
concerns regarding the Kirby home cleaning system he purchased from Cheyenne
Distributing, Inc. (“Cheyenne”), an authorized, independent distributorship of
Kirby products located at 1120 Logan Avenue, Suite 110, Cheyenne, Wyoming
82001, ###-###-####.

As a
matter of information, the Company manufactures high-quality cleaning systems,
which it sells to independently owned and operated businesses or
“distributorships,” such as Cheyenne.
These distributorships, through a network of salespeople or “dealers,”
then sell the cleaning systems to consumer end-users via in-home
demonstrations.  As such, the relationship
between the Company and its distributorships is that of vendor/vendee.

The
Company takes all complaints seriously and immediately started an investigation
upon receiving Mr. [redacted]’s complaint regarding being told he had a lifetime
warranty on his Kirby system. We were advised that Cheyenne immediately
contacted Mr. [redacted] and apologized for the misunderstanding regarding the
Kirby warranty and offered him $175.00 which will cover the cost of using the
Kirby Lifetime Rebuild Agreement should he ever need to use it.

On March
7, 2014, Mr. [redacted] advised the Company’s Customer Relations Department that he
was happy with the resolution of this matter.

If
you have any questions, please contact me directly at [redacted]@kirbywhq.com or
###-###-####.  Thank you again for the opportunity to investigate and
comment.

Sincerely,

/s/ [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
But it is still my opinion that from all available data that the misinformation has an origin from Kirby. and while the distributor did all that could be expected to resolve this I feel the original complaint with Kirby headquarters still stands.
Regards,
[redacted]

This issue has been handled for many days.  We have worked it all out with the customer who kept his purchase.  He told us he really liked the salespeople and loves his Kirby.  We have spoken to the salespeople in his home to make sure they understand how the warranty and rebuild programs so they don't give out any incorrect information by mistake.  We also gave the customer a partial refund to cover the cost of using the lifetime rebuild program should he ever need to use it.  We appreciate receiving the information!

My wife and I were on our front porch last night when we saw some kids and a maroon minivan canvassing the neighborhood. We noticed the reaction of our neighbors to them was not pleasant. We were a little shocked to see people out doing door-to-door sales at 10PM. Pretty unacceptable. Also, the kids they had doing the sales looked very young. We politely declined, but were a little shaken because it seemed so bizarre that they would be out that late that we thought maybe it was people casing houses in the area to rob.

The next day, the same people showed up AGAIN. This time we approached the van to ask the "boss" why they were back and why they had been there at 10 the previous night. He was rude and refused to show any credentials or licensing. We called the cops and they packed up their stuff and sped off.

Wow. I've never dealt with a company who's business practices actually inspired me to call the police before. The police advised us that it was a good thing we called and this kind of activity had been reported several times against this company.

And as far as the company's super weak and insincere apology above is concerned, people don't have to buy something from you to have a negative experience with you.
