Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Steve from Frame and Axle was not truthful on his answer that transpired I believe honesty is the best policy Patrons need to get a signed estimate from this business before any work is performed Regards, [redacted]

Dear [redacted] ,As a long-time customer of Cheyenne Frame and Axle for more than years, I have always received a FREE, verbal quoteIt was alarming to me to read from the operation manger, "We did not bill him for but should have" regarding getting an estimateAttached is the receipt I was billed for and items were accounted for except on page under MISC SUPPLIES, $I am unaware of what this charge is for since it is not itemizedThroughout the invoice there are charges of labor and parts so I assume it is for neither of these I did go in a few times to talk with Steve because he was giving me quotes for potential work to be doneI went to see him because I did not receive any correspondence from the business and wanted to make sure the quote of charges would the same before the final bill was presentedOn the last encounter with Steve before final agreed upon work was completed, three separate times it was verbally confirmed by Steve to me that the bill would be $plus taxThis agreement was to include all labor and partsI do want to state that the work performed was satisfactoryThe complaint I have is lack of communication from the business (this is why I came in several times to ensure the cost was agreed upon), and also, the amount of time that took to get the work completedIt was a shock to me to be billed an additional almost 30% above the quoted priceAs noted on the invoice, the trailer was dropped off 8/16/and I picked up the trailer over weeks after that (10/6/16)This to me is an unreasonable amount of time for servicesSteve did state he would work on my trailer when there were cancellationsI am not sure why, when I had an appointment, that my trailer was to be worked on during off-times.Thank you, [redacted]

As response to this complaint: This customer, *** ***, did if fact want the things done that he has in this complaint, however
the D rings and trailer hitch were not in the original quote of 1400.00, they were add on items that were quoted to *** at the time he decided he wanted them done*** was at the shop weekly changing his mind on what he wanted done, for example he said he wanted leaf springs installed and wanted a quote for the work, that took extra time to search for springs and put together an estimateHe said to go ahead with the springs and then the next day changed his mind and said not to do the springsAs I said, *** was down here at the shop on a regular basis discussing work he wanted done with Steve and that took Steve’s time up, which we did not bill him for but should haveThe continued weekly visits and mind changing is what pushed this job out so longSteve is in fact not the owner, he is one of my service technicians, I am the Operations Manager and Cheyenne Frame and Axle is owned by Floyds Truck CenterI feel we went above and beyond to make this customer happy. Have a great day, Craig H***Operations ManagerCheyenne, WY** *** * ** ***

Dear [redacted],As a long-time customer of Cheyenne Frame and Axle for more than 35 years, I have always received a FREE, verbal quote. It was alarming to me to read from the operation manger, "We did not bill him for but should have" regarding getting an estimate. Attached is the receipt I was billed for and items were accounted for except on page 2 under MISC SUPPLIES, $132.00. I am unaware of what this charge is for since it is not itemized. Throughout the invoice there are charges of labor and parts so I assume it is for neither of these.  I did go in a few times to talk with Steve because he was giving me quotes for potential work to be done. I went to see him because I did not receive any correspondence from the business and wanted to make sure the quote of charges would the same before the final bill was presented. On the last encounter with Steve before final agreed upon work was completed, three separate times it was verbally confirmed by Steve to me that the bill would be $1400 plus tax. This agreement was to include all labor and parts. I do want to state that the work performed was satisfactory. The complaint I have is lack of communication from the business (this is why I came in several times to ensure the cost was agreed upon), and also, the amount of time that took to get the work completed. It was a shock to me to be billed an additional almost 30% above the quoted price. As noted on the invoice, the trailer was dropped off 8/16/16 and I picked up the trailer over 7 weeks after that (10/6/16). This to me is an unreasonable amount of time for services. Steve did state he would work on my trailer when there were cancellations. I am not sure why, when I had an appointment, that my trailer was to be worked on during off-times.Thank you, [redacted]
