Review: Had 2 appts with [redacted] within Chic Hair Designs. First appt 5/3/14, 2nd appt 5/9/14. These appts were for my daughters hairdo for prom. 1st appt hair was down, pulled back and curled. before first picture was taken, front curls were almost straight. 2nd appt, she left with an updo and went to [redacted] a for lunch before her make up appt. Hair was already falling out within 45 minutes. [redacted] had to redo the entire updo and said the job was done poorly. The hairdo from [redacted] stayed all night long in. I called Chic and talked to the owner [redacted] and explained what happened and asked for my money back. He said he would not refund the amount, he stood behind his stylist and said it looked beautiful. I agreed it looked beautiful but falling out is a different story all together. My daughter can't enjoy her prom if the updo is falling out. He never appologized at all for anything. Then proceeded to say the following rudest thing I've ever heard from a business owner. "I remember you. You are a typical Mom....what about this hair....what about that hair?" Well guess what? I am the customer paying for the service. It is my right to look over the hairdo and ask for anything to be fixed. I felt extremely insulted. I am requesting my total fee of $57.00 paid to Chic on 5/9/14 on my daughters debit card. Her name is [redacted].Desired Settlement: refund of $57.00 to my daughter's debit card --name [redacted] or a check mailed to: [redacted]

Dear [redacted]:This letter is a written statement of the events that occurred on May 3, 2014 and May , 2014 at Chic Hair Designs. [redacted] and her daughter [redacted] came in on May 3 to have [redacted]s hair done for prom. During the service, [redacted] was asking Angie, the stylist, to fix small things about [redacted]s hair the whole time. Once the service was finished, [redacted] said how much she loved her hair. They paid and left. The following week, [redacted] came in on May 9 by herself. Her mother, [redacted], was not with her. [redacted] mentioned to [redacted] how much she loved her hair last week and she said that it looked like a wedding. [redacted] finished [redacted]s hair and asked her if she needed more hair spray and [redacted] said no. [redacted] proceeded to tell [redacted] how much she loved it. She said it looked so beautiful and looked just like the picture shehad brought in with her. She paid for her service and left. About a half hour later, the receptionist took a call – from [redacted] stating she needed [redacted] to come back into the salon because her curls werefalling out and she needed it repinned. Unfortunately, [redacted] was not available because she had left for the day to pick up her children. [redacted] only saw a picture of [redacted]s hair and did not see it in person. She then proceeded to call back a few other times but we could not do anything for her. She then asked to speak to the manager andor owner.We had a similar problem like this with [redacted] last year. [redacted] brought [redacted] in to have her hair done for prom and [redacted] complained about things not looking right the whole time. If [redacted] was not happy with the service that [redacted] provided to [redacted] on May 3, 2014, then why did she keep the May 9 appointment? [redacted] and [redacted] are not continuous clients of ours. The other issue is [redacted] was not the client. [redacted] was the one having her hair done. If [redacted] had a complaint, she should have said something but every time [redacted] would leave our business, she was very happy with our services. We do understand we will get unhappy customers once in a while but, it seems as though we have never been able to make [redacted] happy.
