Cruz and his people did an amazing job. This company is awesome. Hire them!!! You won't be disappointed.

This company agreed to do a job installing brick pavers in our walkway. Took our plat of survey to "supposedly" apply for a permit to do the job as required by the village. Three weeks waiting on them, didn't hear from them. They refuse to return my calls or respond to numerous voicemails I've left on their answering service. I contacted the village to find out if the application was submitted. They informed me that an application for the permit was not submitted. So here all along I'm waiting on this project to begin in end of June as promised by this company. We are already on June 23rd and nothing. Looks as though I will have to hire someone else to do the job as Chicago Brick Paving is nothing but a fluke! If they didn't want to do the job, they should never have agreed on it or at the least inform me of some delays. Nothing! By the way, I want my copy of the plat of survey returned back to me!!

We hired Cruz to demo our deck and build a new paver patio over 1,000 square feet with a fire pit, pillars and seating walls. He is very hard to get a hold of and communication is extremely poor. He did an okay job while constructing the patio but the follow up is where he really burned us. After the patio was finished he said he would come back to seal it with in the next couple of weeks. There needs to be a dry period of weather in order for the seal to be applied properly. Our patio was completed in May and after months of him not coming I finally was able to get ahold of him in August and he assured me he would send someone over to seal the patio. It has now been over a week since I last spoke with him when we assured me someone would be over the next morning between 8:30-9. I waited around all day and called a couple of times and still have not heard back from him. Our patio is in desperate need of being sealed. we have lost sand and worst of all there is a large area where tree berries were falling and have no stained our brand new patio. We finally gave up on Cruz ever calling us back and hired someone else to stain it. When they came over they said the stains were preeminent and decks should be sealed very shortly after to prevent staining like this. There is nothing we can do. Cruz completely ignores our calls. I don't understand how he can operate a business this way. Initially we were happy with him and even offered to let potential customers call or come by for a reference which he had some people do. In my last text to him I pleaded with him to come over and seal our patio like he had promised and I let him know that if he didn't do what he said he would, I would let me opinion of him be known in online reviews and he still never responded. I also want to mention that my neighbor had him install a paver patio as well as a driveway. She has since called him to request he come back and fix an area of the driveway that is dipping and he refuses to answer her call or ever respond. I have since ran into one of Cruz's employees and he told me that Cruz never paid him for the days he worked on our patio. I am BEYOND disappointed in the amount of money we paid for our patio and the fact that is is now stained beyond repair and our Chicago Brick Paving completely bailed on us.
