Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/06/08) */
Complainant alleges that I installed a compressor and line set; I did notIf Complainant insists that I did, please provide me with an invoice showing soI do not have any record of such activity for the Complainant
Initial
Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/06/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The response actually contradicts itselfThe business said that they did not install the compressor/lineset because have no record of the transaction and are rolling the dice and hoping that I don't eitherI do and am including itSo much for credibility
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/06/23) */
I will first address consumer's latest responseAs previously stated, we have no record of ever installing a compressor and lineset as evidenced by consumer's attachmentsHowever, we do have record of installing a condensing unitCompany was in no way "rolling the dice", the Company was simply stating the facts! Now, I will address the consumer's original complaint, now that we are all on the same page with what we are dealing with here
On 7/11/my Company did install a new R-condensing unit along with the aid from another heating & cooling company *** Heating, Cooling & Refrigeration" *** *** is the owner and the person helping with the installation)The unit was installed properly, secured, and was in excellent working condition
I did receive a phone call from consumer (approximately 1/years later) and he stated that the condensing unit was hanging from the side of his buildingI informed consumer that I would call him backI then called *** and informed him of what had occurred and he informed me that he would go over to consumer's home and assess the situation; I came along as well to assess the situation
Upon my arrival, *** was on the roof with a crew of his own guys; they were in the process of pulling the unit from the side of the roof, onto the roof as I walked upAs the unit was being pulled up onto the roof, the lineset did break and release the contents of Freon(As a courtesy , as no money was asked for, *** and his crew placed the condensing unit out of harm's way, onto the roof, secured the unit for re-installation during the springI spoke with *** and he stated that he did in fact close off the service ports on the condensing unit)
Once the unit was safely on the roof, *** and his crew went into consumer's home (where I was present with the consumer the entire time the unit was being pulled onto the roof) and informed him that the unit was safely on the roof (as he and I was watching from consumer's home the entire time)
*** and I did in fact express our apologies for this anomaly
*** and I informed the consumer that the unit could not be reinstalled until the weather warmed up, consumer agreed
Within a few days, I received a call from consumer that his association wanted copies of my insurance papersI was reluctant and wanted to know why, as the installation was done approximately 1/years earlier, I had seen no reason for such actionThroughout my conversations with the consumer, he and I both stated our concerns over the association's request for insurance papersI informed *** of what the association wanted and he in turn provided me his insurance paperwork, with the understanding that he would be completing the reinstallation of the condensing unit, as conveyed to the consumer
Again, within a few days, I received another phone call from the consumer; he stated that the insurance paperwork provided by *** was not acceptable by the associationI asked the consumer for the name and phone number of a point of contact at the association, which he providedI called the association and asked them why they did not accept the insurance paperwork provided, as *** and his company was going to complete the reinstallation of the condensing unit in the springThe only answer I received was that they needed my insurance paperworkI informed the association that I was not going to provide them with my insurance paperwork, as I was not going to be performing any future work for the consumer
The consumer proceeded to send several texts and make numerous phone callsI informed the consumer that I spoke with the association and that I was not going to provide them with my insurance paperwork, as I was not going to be providing any services for the consumerI informed the consumer that *** and his crew was more than willing to place the condensing unit back in its original place when the spring came
Consumer never called *** or me concerning the reinstallation of the condensing unitThe only news we received was this Revdex.com complaint
The condensing unit came with a 5-year, all inclusive warranty, from the manufacturerHad the condensing unit truly not been operable, the unit and/or its components would have been covered under warrantyHowever, consumer stated he "disposed of" the unit
Then consumer states, "I'd like a complete refund as the unit will need to be completely reinstalled...preferably by another company with proper insurance credentials" Both My Company and ***'s Company carry "proper insurance credentials"I do not agree that we should have to give the consumer any amount of refund*** and his crew offered to provide the services required to reinstall the condensing unit, which was safely secured on the roofConsumer never called, as asked, to have the condensing unit reinstalledConsumer then "disposed of" the unit, which was still covered under warranty, had there truly been anything wrong with the unitThere was no warranty provided by my company or ***'s Company as the consumer did not want to pay for an extended warranty from either of usThe standard company warranty on labor is days, unless otherwise noted

Terrific company. Excellent customer service. Prompt. Thoughtful. Considerate and Honest. Will never use another company again. They are the best!!!
