Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2014/07/02) */
*** ***,
I apologize for the late replyI was out of state and wasn't aware of the notice till yesterday
At the time that Mrs*** made the first complaint; we put the car in the lift and showed her the area that we
had worked onThen we went on to explain to her that where the brake line was leaking and where we had worked were to far away for us to be able to damage itThe catalytic converter is located on the frontal part of the car and where the brake line was leaking was the rear tire of the driver sideI reiterate, we made it clear to her that where we worked on and where it was leaking have no correlationShe agreed and left
When Mr*** came, the whole process was done again of putting up the car in the lift and showing him the area where we worked and where it was leakingWe also made it clear to him that we couldn't have possibly damaged itWe again showed him that the area we worked on was in the frontal part of the car and where the brake line leakage was in the rear tire of the driver side
Costumer satisfaction is one of our highest prioritiesThat's why when Mrs*** came and we diagnosed that the problem of the "noise" was do to the part that we had installedWe went on to replace it, at no charge to herI reiterate, costumer satisfaction is one of our highest prioritiesHopefully this issue can be resolved
If there is any more questions or concerns please call XXXX-XXX-XXXXOur business hours are Mon-Sat a.m- p.mand Sun a.m- p.m
Thank you,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2014/07/03) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Yesthey did make repair at nc because they had initially done it in March and I was having same problem againI DID NOT agree and was NOT satisfied, I continued to reinterate that my car was not leaking brake fluid when I arrive and my brakes were in perfect working condition when I got thereIt was not until they finished their work and I prepared to leave when I noticed the change in my brakes, called it to their attention and at that time after I had gotten on my brakes to leave and noticed the difference brake fluid was found on the ground and they then acknowledged that the line was leakingI understand where they worked at was toward the front as he showed me but also during the repair the hammering while repairing may have been what upset the line causing it to snapI know that it was not damaged when brought in and I believe that when you take your car to be repaired the shop is responsible while it in in their possession, which it wasand they knew the car was leaking when he brought it down because he knew right away when I said my brakes didn't feel the same as when I brought the car in he automatically said it looks like your brake line is leaking even before he put it on the liftThey know they upset something to cause the brake problem and they know that it was not leaking when it was brought in thereIf it was why didn't they say something when they first put the car in the air, before I brought it to their attention after they finished the repair underneath the car? They were hoping I wouldn't notice or say anything or both but I did because of the noticible differenceHad the brakes been a problem I would not have driven there to get the repair because the brakes were all the way down to the floor after t hey finished their repair, that is why I knew they had done something to itYou notice the difference when your brakes are raised while driving and when it is touching the floor literallyI want them to be responsible for the damage that occurred to my car while in their possession because I know it was not like that when I brought it inThey did something under the car to cause the upset to that line yes the car is an old car but driving very well except for the noise I took it there for, because I do the required maintenance on itAnd if I had been leaking there would have been fluid on the ground when I pulled the car in to tell them the problem and it sat while I got out and talked to themThe puddle of fluid in the picture was one that accrued after they pulled it out to say they were finished and it was on the opposite side of the lot from where I parked when I came in
Final Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2014/07/28) */
To Mrs*** ***,
In order to resolve this issue the fastest way possible, I've come to conclusion that the fairest thing to do is to pay 25% of the total cost for the brake line and master cylinder repair done on the carI have agreed to pay this NOT because I'm accepting that we had any fault in what happen, but in order to solve this problemI think its fair to pay 25% because I was never aware that the car was going to be taken to a mechanic to get fixed and that I would be responsible for all the cost
For me to be able to pay the 25%I request that you send me a physical copy of the receipt from the mechanic shop that the repairs were performed atThe address that you can send it to is *** ** *** St*** *** IL XXXXX
I hope Mrs*** that you understand where I'm coming from and that you do accept my offer
Sincerely,
*** ***
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 22, 2014/08/12) */
I am following up on my complaint with Chgo Muffler to see what the status is with themI haven't heard from anyone since the last correspondence stating that I stand on that they damaged my brake line when doing repair and tried to be sneaky and didn't tell me until I noticed the brake difference once in the car when they told me they were finished with original repair that it was brought in for
