Dear Ms***, Mr [redacted] purchased a used Jeep elsewhere (not from our company), and the repair in question is not a "covered repair" under Chrysler Corporation's warranty The fact that he purchased his Jeep elsewhere is only pertinent because this issue should be addressed to the selling dealer, rather than our companyWe are very happy to help Mr [redacted] with any and all of his service requirements, but we can't help with this repair, unless Mr [redacted] will pay for same Again, this situation is not covered under Chrysler's WarrantyIf we may be of any further assistance, please let me know Thank You,Thomas FO'Brien Vice President

I actually spoke with [redacted] the day before he picked his truck up and told him the truck would be ready on Friday and that I would call him as soon as it was ready for pickup [redacted] just showed up as he was in the area as we were finishing cleaning the truck This gave us no time to do a quality inspection before calling him to let him know the truck was either done or not [redacted] called us the following Monday to inform us that the reverse sensors were not working and that the screws were missing from the taillamps We asked him at that time to swing by at his convience to install the screws and inspect the reverse sensors He did so if I remember correctly within a day or two Screws were installed(did not know the screws were the incorrect ones until recieving the complaint from Revdex.com) We inspected all of the reverse sensors, wiring and connectors and could not find any obvious signs as to why the sensors were not working We made an appointment with our service department to dig into the issue further Service did find some damaged wires on the harness further back away from the rear bumper The harness cover(wire loom) had no evidence of damage to it This repair was covered under the collision loss Now that I am aware of the wrong/ miss matched screws for the taillamps I will order new screws and reslove this issue Jesse M [redacted] Body Shop ManagerTom O'Brien Collision Center NorthEast 96th StreetIndianapolis, IN 46240Main# 317-805-4400Direct# 317-805-4462Fax# 317-805-4461Email: jm [redacted] @obrienauto.com

Please review page of the attached Jeep Warranty Information booklet as provided by Chrysler Group LLCUnder page 5, section 2.1.B, the Basic Limited Warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor needed to repair any manufacturer item on my vehicle that is defectiveThere are no contingencies stating that the warranty work must be completed by the dealer from which the Jeep is purchasedAny certified Jeep dealer should have to abide by this warranty regardlessAdditionally, all Jeep Grand Cherokee basic warranties are transferable and are not subject to a separate set of rules.Furthermore, I have already had the vehicle in to have warranty service completed in just the past months for a failed radiator and blown fuse for charging ports in the dashboardThis reasoning for refusing service now is contradictory to their actions previously.

I took my vehicle to a dealer 30 minutes away to be done with this unethical company. As they are legally required to do, that dealer fixed the part no questions asked under Chrysler's Factory Warranty.You can close my case file.
