Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I will directly answer the comments made by chic execs in the previous email.
1) I was completely over-sold saying that my project 'would be easy' and a 'cinch'. It wasn't until after I paid that I was made aware of 'the extreme risk that I was taking'.
2) Yes I paid for those services.
3) I repeatedly asked for a project manage after the first week as I could see incredible disorganisation. Never once was I told that 'I didn't pay for that', but instead, my emails were ignored. If I was told that, I would have terminated the contract earlier as $7,000 should definitely cover a project manager or I would have found more investment to make sure that my campaign ran properly. Their 'team approach' did not work in my scenario.
4) The campaign manager and I had 2 calls. One before the launch and one after a failed first week of the campaign. Two calls is not several calls.
5) I was consulted only after I paid and signed their terms and conditions. Before that I was over promised. See item number 1.
6/7/9/10: PR and Social Media: Zero of the 'media placements' resulted in any turnover of funding. I was proposed one media feature in the North Bay Business magazine, but it did not come to fruition. I was given a list of blogs/media that were interested in my product. None aligned with my niche and none had enough media influence/engagement for it be worth my time or an exchange my product for their blog exposure.
8: After I paid and a strategy was laid out for me, I asked why there were no ads being placed anywhere on social media. They told me I could additionally pay for ads, BUT they were NOT going to place them ( I would have to place the ads myself). They said they would reimburse me $100 for the ads as apart of 'good faith' and NEVER did. Within the response to my complaint, Chic Execs replied " Ads/ Company Paid and posted ads on behalf of client per package" demonstrates the complete lack of communication that has continuously occurred as this never happened.
Further complaints:
1) With 10 days left in the campaign, (1/3 of the campaign time), I emailed Chic Execs saying that something needed to change to the strategy and implementation or I needed to take my campaign elsewhere. Chic Execs ignored me for SIX DAYS and when they did respond, completely ignored my questions and went about business as if everything were fine.
2) Change of rates: Right after making the payments, the rates for their future services (which we were fund raising for) quadrupled.
I (now) completely understand that such campaigns as kickstarter are a huge risk. If Chic Execs were even able to raise some funds and not the entire campaign amount, we would not be having this conversation. Raising 1 backer at $35 is not a fair exchange for 7,000k of services.
