Review: For the last 5 years the Chico VA has provided me with custom-fit compression stockings. I can only wear custom fit due to my measurements. I wear these due to a service-connected DVT(Deep vein blood-clot). Every year they refer me to [redacted] Orthopedics,in Redding, Ca., to be measured by a prosthetic specialist. This year, I was told I would be measured by [redacted], Case Manager, at Chico VA. I don't agree that a Case Manager, who has no orthotic qualifications, should measure me for custom-fit compression stockings. These stockings require adequate measurements to provide appropriate compression. I find this to be extremely poor customer service practices just to save a buck.
