I am writing in follow up to our telephone conversation on Friday 9/12/ On August 13, I had been in contact with the [redacted] Bureau They advised me that I would need to contact the specific credit agency which had a record of Ms***’s outstanding balance with the Children’s Discovery Center to let them know that Ms [redacted] had paid her balance and that her account now indicated a zero balance Immediately after receiving that information I emailed Ms [redacted] to let her know that I would need that information in order to rectify the information that was on her credit report On August 15, I spoke with you and informed you of the information that I had learned and that I had emailed Ms [redacted] because I did not have a current working telephone number for her You gave me telephone numbers that you had on record for her I called both of those numbers that evening and left a message for Ms [redacted] to please call [redacted] ***, the assistant bookkeeper for the Children’s Discovery Center regarding her account with the Children’s Discovery Center Ms [redacted] indicated she had not received a phone call from Ms*** I called her again on 8/22/and left a more detailed message letting her know, again, that we needed the name of the credit agency which is reporting her balance with us so that we can contact them to let them know she had settled her account with us and asked her again to contact [redacted] *** In my email and my last message to her, I gave her the option of leaving the name of the credit agency with you if she didn’t want to discuss her account with anyone at the center To date we have not received a call back from Ms [redacted] nor have I received a response from my email I sent her on 8/ I cannot move forward until I receive this information from Ms*** I am going to forward you my email to Ms [redacted] as documentation of my attempt to reach her Unfortunately I do not have any documentation to send you with regard to my phone calls to her Please let me know if there is anything else you recommend so that we can resolve this situation with Ms*** With Regards, Electronic Signature: [redacted] Bookkeeper

I've had three of my kids at this center and they absolutely love it thereThe staff and management have been amazing, and my kids love to go every dayMy oldest child is in Pre-K and is learning at a pace that has amazed me
I would high recommend this center to anyone look

I am in receipt of the copy of the complaint filed again the Children's Discovery Center by *** *** ***.
Ms*** had her child enrolled in the Children's Discovery Center through 1/7/Her last payment to the Children's Discovery Center was made on 11/13/paying her
through the month of November No payment was received for the entire of month of December 2007 or the weeks of 1/1/and 1/8/putting her account in arrears in the amount of $ Numerous attempts were made to contact Ms*** who was Ms*** at the time, but to no avail
We were, at the time, using a collection agency, *** ***, to help us collect on unpaid accountsMs***'s account was turned over to *** ***Unfortunately, our center was under a different director and had a bookkeeper that is no longer with us so I do not have the exact date that the account was turned over to *** ***During this collection period, we did receive one payment on 3/23/in the amount of $ from Ms*** herself and not from the *** *** agencyWe attempted to mail Ms*** an updated invoice to indicate her balance of then $764.25, but the invoice was returned with no forwarding address
In 2010, the CDC board met and agreed to sever our relationship with *** *** collection agencyWe never received another piece of correspondence from them nor did we ever receive a payment from their agency for any debt collected in the % years we had contracted their services
On 2/18/Ms***, now Ms***, contacted *** *** our assistant bookkeeper Apparently she had learned that she had a balance due on her credit report, most likely placed there by *** *** during the time her balance had been turned over to themMs*** indicated she would like to reconcile her account, but could only pay $of the $at the time*** contacted me and we agreed to accept Ms***'s payment of $as payment in full and wrote off the remaining $leaving her a zero balance Ms*** has expressed her concern with *** *** about the fact that her credit report still indicates a balance due with the Children's Discovery CenterWe have contacted *** *** to ask about the process of removing the balance on Ms***'s credit report and they were unwilling to remove the balance because we received Ms***'s payment directly versus having her payment go through their office We continue to investigate how we can indicate this balance is now zero on Ms***'s credit report, but unfortunately have been unsuccessful
to date
Rest assured, we intend to persevere until this balance is removed from Ms***'s credit report, but I do not foresee a quick resolution.

Failed to tighten the lug nuts on three of four tires on my car during servicing
On September 8th I took my wife's Toyota Rav to Joseph Airport Toyota for an oil change, tire rotation, break inspection and interior light problemI was contacted on September 9th and told the car was ready for pick upI contacted my wife and she went to pick up the car on September 10th from the dealership
My wife paid for the service and drove homeLater that day she drove to our grandson's soccer game with our son and two grandchildren in the carAfter the soccer game they were driving home when our son heard a thumping noise
My son asked my wife to pull over so he could check to see if they had a flat tireOur son in law was following my wife he also pulled overMy son and son in law checked for a flat tire and did not find a flat tire
My son and son in law checked the lug nuts on tires and found the lug nuts on one tire were almost completely off the lugsThey checked the rest of the tires and found tow other tires with loose lug nuts
My son was able to tighten the lug nuts up well enough until they arrived at our house where he tightened all the lugs nuts appropriately
I contacted Joseph Airport Toyota on September about the loose lug nuts and was told they need to check into my complaintI asked them to contact me on Monday September with the results of them looking into my complaint
On September I received a call from Joseph Airport Toyota about my complaintThey still did not know how the lug nuts were not tightened and told me a master mechanic had worked on my carThey stated the mechanic was one of their best mechanics and had no explanation for the lugs nuts being loose on our carThey claimed to be checking the impact tool used by the mechanic for water in the line
The management also stated the master mechanic typically does not change oil and rotate tiresMaster mechanics are used for more serious problems with carsThe reason the master mechanic was working on our car was due to the possible electrical problem with the dome lightThe management claimed this also could be a reason for the lug nuts not being tightened properly since the master mechanic does not generally perform this type of routine maintenanceThe management claimed they would document my complaint
My concern is if this happened to our car this could happen to other cars taken in and serviced by this master mechanicMy wife was extremely upset and could hardly sleep the night the lug nuts were found to be loose
The carelessness of this master mechanic almost caused injury to my wife, son and grandchildrenI don't believe the management of Joseph Airport Toyota is taking my complaint seriouslyI believe they do not think their master mechanic could have left the lug nuts loose on three of the four tires
I have lost faith, trust and confidence in Airport Toyota ability to perform quality service on my Rav and that the management is not taking this complaint seriouslyI do not want another family to experience faulty labor that could result in potential injury, especially when a master mechanic has worked on their vehicle
When you take your vehicle to a dealership to have maintenance performed on your vehicle you expect your vehicle to be returned to you in proper working conditionOur vehicle was returned to us in a very dangerous condition that unnecessarily placed my family members at risk of injury
I don't believe Joseph Airport Toyota is taking this complaint seriously and it will be chalked up to a mistake that happenedI believe business will go on for them and this incident will be forgotten and nothing will be put in place to insure this does not happen to any other customersWhen management from Joseph Airport Toyota called me on Monday they said they just doesn't know how this could have happened
This is why I'm concerned this will happen again to an unsuspecting family, Joseph Airport Toyota just doesn't care

Their account of my lateness is not accurate as that is why I refused to pay them in the first placeMy daughters father passed away in August of It was a very had time for us and during the early part of November I pulled *** out of their facility and told them she would not be returningI told them I was paid thru November and understood if I still owed some of DecemberI then received a bill for both December AND JanuaryAs this was unacceptable I tried on many occasions to get this fixedThe refused to return my calls as they do now
I was away for many years yet I still own my home and received mail there dailyMy VA address has not changed since On my return to Roanoke I found out this account had been sent to *** *** as a collectionsI spoke with both and CDS agreed to settle for the $ As many months went by I called *** *** who said that CDS had never sent them that informationI emailed the gentlemen I spoke with a copy of my receipt of the payment and he acknowledge that as soon as CDS gave them confirmation that it was paid in full it would be released from my credit
To date this has never been done
I do not believe CDS is doing anything about thisEither they need to resolve this or I feel action should be taken against both them and *** ***
My next letters will be to the Roanoke Times and a lawyer
