The consumer was advised when she brought in her prom dress for alterations that because of the volume of alterations around graduations that I specifically set aside time to complete the alterations before the eventsIn this case the time set
aside was the week of June 10th and this was communicated to the consumerIn the early part of that week, I received a call from the consumer inquiring as to when the dress would be completedI advised her it would be done by Friday, June 10th*** On June 9th, I sent a text message to the consumer advising her that the dress would be ready anytime on Friday, June 10thThe consumer acknowledged receipt of the message.*** I advised the consumer's father that I was in contact with the consumer and that she was picking up the dress the next dayWhen the consumer attended my shop*** The conversation was very civil ***
There was no complaint from the customer about the dress or the cost of the alterations and as between me and the consumer there appeared to be no issue

I was not aware of any alleged defect in the work until I received this complaint - I had received no message, call or correspondence from the consumer
I have no problem meeting with the consumer and the seamstress who subsequently altered the work to understand the nature of the alleged problem and the details of the fix***
