1/18/14 for $1225.00.  That is all I wanted.  Thank You so much for your help - this is what finally got them to move on my complaints!

Review: I contacted Children's Corner Learning Center in January 2014 to inquire about daycare services for my then 2 week old daughter. I schedule a visit on 2/**/14. I saw the school and left a $100 deposit. I was told that there was not an opening for my child at the tie but as soon as there was an opening I would be contacted and my $100 fee holds a place on the waiting list. I was also told that the school was expanding and within a few months (by the summer) there would definitely be space for her. My daughter is now 16 months old and I have never been contacted by the [redacted] or anyone else at the school. I feel that they are just taking people's hundred dollar deposits and making profit off of the deposits with false promises that one will be called when there is availability. I find it hard to believe that 1 months later there has been no availability at the daycare. I no longer want to enroll my daughter at this school but feel I should be reimbursed my deposit.Desired Settlement: I would like my deposit refunded

I was contacted by the complainant regarding this matter and I responded immediately via email to update her on the situation. Unfortunately, I was transferred from the [redacted] last year and a new [redacted] took over who still currently has a waiting list and therefore, there is still no space at the center for a child under the age of 18 months. The new [redacted] was informing those families waiting only if a spot opened. I apologized for notifications not being sent regarding the new center opening as she was told when visiting with me. As of July 2014 a new [redacted] took over the [redacted] location and I left in September 2014. We hoped for the new center in the [redacted] to open soon after the complainant visited, but unfortunately we are still waiting for the new center to open. I have also sent the letter received via usps mail to the corporate office regarding the complainant's request for the return of her "deposit". In the em ail I wrote to the complainant I did explain she paid a registration fee. The registration fee does hold a spot until the child begins and then a deposit is required. Usually only a deposit is refundable and not a registration fee. I will request the corporate office to refund her the registration fee, but I do not make those decisions. I have been civil with this complainant as soon as she contacted me I investigated this situation. I tried to work with the current [redacted] to see if we can move children around or see if her daughter would like to start in another classroom. I also wished her the best as it seemed she made her decision. This was an unfortunate circumstance and I promise anything that was my responsibility as a [redacted] I handled professionally and have never taken anyone's money and made a profit as I am accused of.

Review: It has been 7 months since my son has attended Children's Corner Learning Center in White Plains, NY, and I STILL have not received my deposit of $1225.00 back.We were very happy with Children's Corner, and love the director. We even recommended the center to several other families. But this whole experience will definitely cause me to highly NOT recommend the center to my neighbors and friends looking for daycare. I have been in contact with the Director at the White Plains center where my son had attended, on a weekly basis. I have also emailed and called the Childrens Corner corporate office, and have still yet to have one phonecall returned. The center director told me that they do not return deposits on the credit card from which we paid, but that the corporate office cuts a check. This I cannot understand. I keep getting the run-around. I was told on 2 occasions that a check was cut and mailed to me. I have yet to receive anything, and still get either no response, or a run around of excuses when I contact the corporate office. I was told on more than 3 occasions that someone from billing would call me back--- still no phone calls.I keep getting nothing but the run-around, and all I want, and am entitled to, is having my hard- earned deposit returned to me!! This is to the point of getting absolutely ridiculous and frustrating.Desired Settlement: My full deposit refunded of $1225.00. That is all I want. The deposit that I am entitled to.
