Prepaid for services that weren't rendered. Business stated that she would refund.
Doctor is now ignoring me.
Prepaid for services in March. We were told it would be best to put our son to sleep so we prepaid for the appointment. We went home and decided we didn't want him to be put to sleep. The dentist Dr.*** said she would give me back 72.45 of the 150 I paid. She is now ignoring me and won't return a call. I tried to take care of this with my credit card company and she refused to give the money back. I signed no paperwork stated it was non refundable. She herself stated her stated she would give it back.

Desired Outcome

Just to give mr back my partial refund after two months of waiting.

Parent was told that she can receive a partial refund for the amount pre-paid for one child in the family after all insurance claims on the account are resolved. Once those claims are resolved parent will receive a refund. The amounts the parent paid which she attempted to reclaim from her credit card merchant are for services to two different children that did receive the treatment. Our office has provided the proof of these transactions and treatment rendered to the credit card merchant processing company. Additionally, there is only one incident in the family chart where parent called to inquiry about her refund. The date of inquiry 04/15/2019 and dental assistant returned a call to the parent with the information. The inquiry was not ignored, but response made same day. Dr. *** will not handle front office finance matters with a parent directly. The front office or business staff will help parents with payment/refund matters.

I requested a refund of $35 that was paid on July 6, 2017 for my daughter's dental records to be released. After reviewing their policy there are no policies stating that it will be a $35 charge to release dental records. I was told it will take 3-5 business days to mail records. I was inconvenienced because of records not being sent as told, I had to cancel several dentist appointments after making several calls to the office. I stopped by the office on July 18, 2017 to speak with *** concerning dental records not being released. *** stated that it would be there in a few days. I took my daughter for her appointment on July 19, 2017 and as I was sitting there when the mail was delivered and the dental records envelope was post marked July 18, 2017. *** never sent the records until I stopped by the office to speak with her. I've sent emails and talked with the office assistant several times since July 19th and was told she would let *** know to return my call. I haven't received a call back nor refund regarding my issue.

I talked with client about this matter on 07/18/2017 when she came to the office to request a refund. I discussed with the client that we do not refund monies for duplication of records when the records are received by the party or parties they are delivered to. I also reviewed with the client that we do not give a guarantee on when the records will be mailed or delivered to the receiving party. We do inform clients that the duplication process may take 3-5 days to complete. Records are mailed once that process is complete. We make every effort when records are sent to a third party to accomplish the request in a timely manner. The letter I sent to the client reqarding this matter afte I spoke to her on 07/18/2017 is attached.

I never talked to *** about a refund directly because I was told to contact the office assistant. She never discussed with me that they do not refund monies for duplication of records. *** did not say that they do not give a guarantee on when the records will be mailed or delivered to the receiving party. She informed me that the duplication process takes 3-5 days. She didn't realize that I made a request on July 6th and it was then July 18th which was pass 3-5 days. She stated they should be there. My daughter records wasn't sent in a timely manner like she stated but they were sent on the same day I paid her a visited on July 18th.
