Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I have yet to receive any detailed bills from the time periods of money I owe. I don't understand how after 3-4 years I have not owed money and all of a sudden I do, they had plenty of time to bill me and never have.

Review: On 6/*/15 my son was scheduled for an orthopedic appointment. I contacted children's medical group a week prior to the appointment and spoke to the manager Kate regarding an authorization referral for the orthopedic doctor. 2 weeks ago I recieved a bill in the amount of $400 and the doctors office medical biller informed me that this charge was due to a missing referral that was never sent to their office. I've tried on several occasions to contact Kate and left her several messages with the receptionist (10/**, 10/**, 10/**, 10/**) The orthopedic office has sent this bill to collectionDesired Settlement: I want children's medical group to take care of this refferal as soon as possible. I do not want to be charged $400 for this service.

Review: I received a bill from Children's Medical Group for a recent well-child visit that my baby had. I was surprised, since I pay a lot of money for the most comprehensive health care plan my employer provides and I have no maximum benefit and should not even have a co-pay for well-child visits. I contacted my insurance company who told me that there is a maximum number of well-child visits and that had been exceeded. I only scheduled the appointments that Children's Medical Group told me to schedule. I called them and was told by [redacted] in billing (who was nasty and snotty to both myself and my fiance in two separate conversations) that they have their own schedule of "recommended" appointments they go by and that it is my responsibility to check with my insurance company how many are covered. According to my insurance, 7 visits is the maximum in New York State but CMG "recommends" 11. First, I have NEVER dealt with another doctor's office that did not check these things for their patients. [redacted] said that they have no way to check how many visits a person's insurance covers but that is a lie. For my maternity doctor's appointments, my doctor had no problem contacting my insurance and reviewing that with them before scheduling me for unnecessary appointments. Second, NO ONE ever told me that these were "recommended" appointments. I was explicitly told exactly when to schedule my next appointment for. No one ever said, "but check with your insurance because all companies approve a different number of visits."Since I have a well-known, commonly used insurance company, I cannot imagine that this 7 visit maximum is rare or unheard of. CMG is either willfully ignoring state standards or purposely trying to trick people into excessive appointments to make more money. The bottom line is that I trusted my doctor's office to give me correct and accurate information and to schedule my daughter for the appropriate number of appointments and they used that trust to their financial benefit.Desired Settlement: Since CMG is responsible for using up my well-child visit benefit for the entire year in my child's first 6 month's, they should be responsible for the remainder of her NECESSARY well-baby check-ups until she is **. I should not have to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket on top of insurance premiums because CMG is scamming extra unnecessary appointments out of people. They should refund my insurance for those unnecessary appointments so that my child can continue to get the care she needs.
