Review: I scheduled service for chimney sweep and dryer vent cleaning. Workman inspected vent and told me that it needed new pipe for the vent requiring ceiling to be ripped out in bathroom in order for me to pass inspection and submit to HOA.

I had told Gina at the Chimney Sweep office when I scheduled the appointment that I needed the cleanings to be done by December 1, 2015 for the HOA to which she commented it was nice that the HOA gives so much time.

On service report from R. T[redacted] - "Dryer vent corregater flex needs to be rigid. Recommend change to 4" rigid."

He verbally confirmed in my kitchen that he was failing the vent.

Knowing that this work needed to be done for HOA inspection, workman still did cleaning - knowing the vent needed to be replaced ASAP.

I called Chimney Sweep office and Gina told me that the people they do work for do not fix issues promptly so because of the history of homeowners they work with workman took it upon himself to go ahead and do the cleaning without discussing with me.

The cleaning never should have been done. As one contractor said to me, "It's like taking a car to the car wash before driving it to the dump."Desired Settlement: Reimburse $145.00 for unnecessary cleaning of dryer vent.
