Chinese Tea Garden

Review: On August 13, 2013 at 1:40 My husband and I went to Chinese Tea Garden for lunch and we were greeted properly just as any business would do. We placed our order with the waiter a Chinese lady with a burgundy company shirt and jeans and waited until the food came my husband was very displeased with his food it was very nasty. The waiter was gone for a long period of time and when she finally came back I requested to get a to go box and the bill and she walked away again. I signed the bill and didn't leave a tip due to the poor service of her disappearing for a long time as well as the taste of the food. My husband and I are out of the restaurant and the waiter comes out of the door behind us saying that I have to leave a tip and asked if I had read the sign on the entrance door requesting that a customer must leave a tip if they dine in their restaurant. which I find to be the most absurd thing I have ever heard of. So I had put a 2.00 dollar tip on the receipt, but at the same time I felt that I was forced to do so by her harassing behavior. She also made a comment stating the next time I have to order to go if I don't want to leave a tip which was very rude, I am not going back to that restaurant ever again be cause it is against the law to force your customer to leave a tip even when the service and food is not good.Desired Settlement: That this company or employer must change the policy for the customers this is a major harassment, and this will make them lose so many customers with this policy.
