Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/05/01) */
The company responded back to me and they have resolved the issue.
Thank you.

Mr. [redacted] brought his truck in on 2/6/18 with noise concerns. Mind you, the truck has an aftermarket, DSI, lift installed on it from another dealership. After spending several days inspecting the vehicle we were unable to identify a failure and informed Mr. [redacted] of such. He accused us of attempting...

to skirt the warranty because of the modifications. So we contacted the modifier, DSI, we spoke with Ryan at 4 wheel parts in Covina. We shipped the truck to 4 Wheel Parts, with Mr. [redacted]'s permission. After a couple of days Ryan called me and informed me that he cannot identify a failure with his components or with the Ford components. We went and retrieved the truck and invited Mr. [redacted] to ride with our factory certified chassis master [redacted]. Together Mr. [redacted] and [redacted] could not identify a noise let alone a failure. Chino Hills Ford paid for a rental during this entire process, Mr. [redacted] paid nothing. Ford Motor Company requires that a failed component be identified as defective before it is replaced and only a currently defective part can be replaced, We spent over $400.00 dollars on a rental, consumed over 10 labor hours and performed no reimbursable repairs. Mr. [redacted] feels that his actuators are failing, a concern that was not verified, we cannot replace a component under warranty until it has failed. We have asked Mr. [redacted] not to bring his vehicles into this dealership in the past. We will be doing so in the future. 051 lifts are not warrantable and installing them can subject the vehicle to a cancellation of warranty. [redacted] Service Director Chino Hills ford ###-###-####
