Review: Chinook installed the new Heat Pump, furnace, the vents,.When the AC works, everything is fine.The heating was working good for first two weeks.Then in the middle of the night, we smelled a burning plastic coming out off the vents.We shut the system down, opened windows; coughing a lot, and left a message with [redacted], the Owner;found his no. in website. He never called me back.I called the office and left a message.Never got a call back.I called again;they sent a tech not sure on what date.Tech said he smells the smell a little and let the Heat run for couple of hours and let it burn and it is a new system.Went out for 3 hours and let the system run.The smell was still there upon return.I called them on Fri,they said I have to wait till Monday.I said I couldn't turn the heat on and I have an old mother who is cold and sick.The girl got upset and said other people don't have heat.I said when smell gets bad, I have to turn system off and then I won't have heat.Then Monday comes, no calls no techs from Chenook. One night the Emergency Heat was not working either.My husband called them.The tech came by, took an insulation out of the system in garageand threw in trash bin w/o telling us.We asked him what he did,he never said they left behind insulation in duct.We turned emergency heat off and turned regular heat on right away.I called bk asked for Owner call me, they said they will not honor my warranty and I am crying wolf and lying.So,I called another Heating Co.get 2nd opinion. They found out after Chinook pulled the insulation out,they forgot to reset system; pilot/burner not turning on,gas not turning on.The new tech also said hesmellsthe burningplastic/paintor something in the duct when they were painting and when the heat kicks in, it starts melting whatever is in there. I am sitting in the smell and all windows open.Unfortunately, I did not write all the complaint dates down, but I am sure they have a copy of the service orders. Zero star for the customer service, for repairs and for the systDesired Settlement: I want them to honor my 2 year warranty,treattheir customers good, take system apart and see what is ausingthesmelland tell me why the tech lied to me about the insulation being removed from the duct system.I understand theyhaveto pay for the labor, but it is not my fault.I am a customer and I have tobetreated nicely.I never yelled at the girl in the office, I just raised my voice a little after shetold me there are others without heat; meaning the hell w/us.Chinook,paymeback$100Ipaidfor2nd opin
