I hired *** with Chippewa Valley Process Service on Feb 11th 2020 to serve legal papers. I paid her in cash and she took my payments failing to provide me with a receipt. It was after I paid her that she simply stopped communicating with me. I would reach out to her via phone (left vm) and text. Very rarely would I ever get a text response. When I did she was full of excuses and reasons why she hadn't served my papers or gotten back to me. When I would question when she would serve the papers she would get rude and call me names via text. I finally told her to serve the papers by a certain date or give them back to me with a receipt for my payment. That didn't happen. She finally responded that my papers were served and the Affidavit of service and receipt were in the mail. After giving that almost a week (we live in the same town) I contacted her again with no response. I finally went to the bar that she lives above and spoke to her landlord. Magically she started texting me and telling me I was harassing her, swearing at me and then blocking me. At this point I still do not have my papers back or proof of service with a receipt. I have no way to get in contact with her and do not believe she actually served my party or will ever receive proof of service.
I picked up this customer’s legal documents in February. His hearing date was not until April. In Process of Service is it crucial to serve documents with the closest court dates first. *** started inquiring about service of his papers less than a week after I received them. His inquiries were far too frequent for a court date approximately two months away. He refused to listen or understand that I could not give his documents preference of other documents with closer hearing dates. His account of me ”swearing” at him is completely false. He’s the one who started swearing at me. It was completely inappropriate and out of line for him to go to the business below my apartment and talk to the owner (also my landlord). That, in my opinion was harassment. I am the owner of this business and I don’t have any employees. I work very hard to get my jobs done in a timely manner and in the order of importance. I have owned this business for almost 20 years and have never had such a ridiculous complaint or someone so difficult to deal with. He simply refused to acknowledge what I was trying to explain to him about how the process works and timelines, etc. I have attached a screen shot of the text message of *** SWEARING AT ME!
I’ll have to decide if I want to return his $60 fee based on the fact that he was so labor intensive with his constant calls and texts. I feel that I more than used up the $60. Not to mention the time I have now had to put in to this response and I’m assuming there will be more time invested after this.

I have reviewed Angela's response, and since she felt the need to provide a screenshot, I too have attached a .pptx file with a full transcript, which includes dates and times. *** was quick come take my money and papers, but soon after just stopped communicating with me. Even when I told her simply updating me on what the status was would suffice. She simply felt communicating with a paying customer was to much effort for her. Once I set a deadline and asked for my money back she told me everything was in the mail. Never received, to this day. It would have been easier for her to simply drop off my papers, if she actually did the job. As far as going to her 'landlords' place of business. This was for a couple reasons, first, she does not have a business address or store front. Second, as you can see she was simply refusing to speak to me, not responding to text or phone calls. For someone who says they've been doing this business for so long she has lousy follow through and communication. Which in any business is important. Angela, when she did communicate gave excuses and talked down to me making the fact my court date was weeks away a great excuse for her to not do her job.
The week after my last communication with *** I hired a new process server who served the party the next day. When talking to them, they stated it is not common practice to wait until closer to a court date to serve papers. In fact, they stated they wanted them served right away for clear and prompt communication to the party being served.
It is for these reasons this complaint is not resolved. I am again, requesting a refund be issued to me via check to my address; 1335 Brentwood Ter, Eau Claire WI 54703
