Chippewa Valley Siding, Roofing & Supply

Review: I am filling this complaint on behave of my Mother. She purchased a door from Chippewa Valley Siding and Roofing May 4th 2015. After the door was installed it was found to not latch correctly, nor lock properly, and had gaps in the seal around the door. In general the door was of poor quality. My mother then contact Chippewa Valley Siding and Roofing to alert them of the problems. [redacted], owner, made a visit and take some photos of the door. [redacted] then submitted these to the manufacture Heartland Door and Frame in Iowa. Heartland Door and Frame then sent a Sales Representative of extreme rude and disrespectful nature to visit and view the door. He deemed the door was manufactured incorrectly and should be replaced. He indicated he would place a new door on order. My mother was told the new door would take approx. 4-6 weeks to arrive in which it did. However Chippewa Valley Siding and Roofing then took until mid November to install the door. After the installation of the second door it was found again the door was operating incorrectly and again had gaps around the door seal. My mother once contacted Chippewa Valley Siding and Roofing to alert them of the problem. Finally in the beginning of December they sent the same disrespectful and rude Sale Representative to look at the door from Heartland Door and Framing. He inspected the door and found the door sash needing to be replacement. At this point he placed this on ordered and indicated it would be ready in two weeks. It took until January 13th for the Sales Representative and Installer to return and install the new sash. However this did not resolve the problem and resulted in the Sales Representative cursing and walking out on my Mother leaving no corrective action plan to solve issue with door. My Mother then immediately contact Chippewa Valley Siding and Roofing to alert them of this. She was told at this point that Chippewa Valley Siding and Roofing could do not more to help her and she needed to contact Heartland Door and Frame direct. Even though no consumer should have to contact the manufacture direct to resolve an issue she did. She was told to speak with a [redacted]. My Mother has made several attempts now to get a response from both [redacted] and [redacted] which no luck. The two receptionist at Heartland Door and Frame continue to tell my Mother Larry is on the phone and not available. They also indicated that Heartland Door and Frame is working to resolve the issue. In addition she has received no response from Chippewa Valley Siding and Roofing. My Mother has now asked me to take over and handle this as the stress and mental anguish is to much. I called both [redacted] and Larry Thursday 28th 2016 and left message for both to contact me by the end of the business day to first confirm they will be reimbursing my Mother for the door and installation and second to provide me with their action plan to resolve this by February 5th 2016. My Mother did receive call from Chippewa Valley Siding and Roofing asking what she was charged for the door and installation as they had no record of it. My Mother contact me and asked that I respond to this request. I did call Chippewa Valley Siding and Roofing and reported the cost for the door and installation was $1994.50. Plus I email a copy of the receipt as well which I receive confirmation of receipt Monday February 1st 2016. However I never received a response from [redacted] or Larry to provide their action plan to resolve the issue. I followed up Friday again giving them the opportunity to speak with me and both elected not to. I left message with both indicating if no return call by the end of day I would be seeking legal action. To date, February 2nd 2016, neither my Mother nor I have heard from either Chippewa Valley Siding and Roofing or Heartland Door and Framing.Desired Settlement: My Mother and I both expect at this point for her to reimbursed fully for the cost of the door and the installation in the amount of $1994.50. They then can send someone with the competency to resolve this issue no later than February 5th 2016.. Please note extremely rude and disrespectful Sales Representative as he is not allowed on our property ever again. The other alternative is to provide additional funds to allow us to contract another company to provide a new door and installer. Again we wish to have this resolved by February 5th 2016. This is costing my Mother additional cost in heating her home and needs to be treated with great urgency.
