The transfers of a gym membership are strictly handled by retro corporate, members have to check in at least times in a month period and use one gym 60% of the time to be transferredAAs stated earlier [redacted] or the retro fitness locations cannot transfer members Members who do not meet the requirements, will not be transferred, it's a very simple policy.TThe member has no reason to be upset or complain, if she meet the proper requirements, retro corporate would have transferred her

The member does have a membership that allows her to take classes, we did not remove all classesWe removed a few and we did this because we are rolling out a new room that involve's Team functional training sessionsWe decided to do it at the slowest time of the year and came out with a test
schedule to see how the new functional training sessions would go overWe still have over Classes on the scheduleBelow is a copy of the members emails and my responseTo say that I send out threatening emails is false, the only threats have been made by this member, which she followed thru on..The truth is, Mrs*** joined the gym on Nov 28th and checked into the gym times in 2016, and checked in times in 2017, and has only taken classes and two on a Saturday, which those classes are still available and on a Sunday which have been changed for the short term, and maybe removedThe last time she even checked into the gym was April 17th I find her complaint unfair, and that the short term removal of a class that she used times in almost months irrelevant to her gym useAlso no where in our agreement or any gyms agreement for that matter does it state if we remove a class or change a class, can a member cancel. Please see email trail below Hi - I didn't get the email, I heard about it from my husband, but I saw that the schedule changed for classes - I'm currently signed up for a classes membership and there are almost no classes anymore at all. Since you're significantly changing the classes from the terms I originally agreed upon less than a year ago, I would like to please cancel my membership, and be refunded the annual fee that was just charged. There are now no classes I can attend that fit my schedule with my current membership. Please cancel my membership as soon as possible. Thanks,*** ***Michael M*** President & CEOAug (days ago)to***I'm sorry you feel that way, but that's not accurate that there are almost no classes now. We have plenty of classes, and if a few classes changed that don't fit your schedule, thats not grounds for a member to cancel and be refunded. We will have a new spin and group schedule up tomorrow. Thank you *** ***Aug (days ago)tomeWell it no longer fits when I am able to go to the gym I will report this to the Revdex.com on Monday.Sent from my iPhone*** ***Aug (days ago)tomeWell I'm going to reach out to others to see how they are feeling about not being able to get to any of the classes.....big class action and yes, i'm an attorney.Michael M*** President & CEOAug (days ago)to***,As I mentioned in my first email, we will be putting out a new schedule tomorrow afternoon.Thankyou Michael M*** President & CEOAug (days ago)to***I'm really starting to hate people Michael M*** President & CEOAug (days ago)to*** bcc:***,I find it very unfair and unusual that you would threaten Retro fitness with a Class Action lawsuit and look to gather other members and complain to the Revdex.com.Your email states how upset you are and ready to cancel over a class schedule change that you not only haven't seen yet, but really won't effect your workouts, because you do not use the gym that often. So is the real reason for wanting to cancel, your lack of coming to the gym?I say this, because here is a record of the classes you've taken, and below that your, gym usageSaturday classes with Nicole at 8:15am which is staying on the schedule and classes with Toni, which has been removed and changed to a team training session.04/22/08:AMSchedulingFairfield*** *** *** *** *** ***04/02/09:AMSchedulingFairfield *** *** ***04/01/08:AMSchedulingFairfield*** *** ***CORPORATE02/26/09:AMSchedulingFairfield*** *** ***01/15/09:AMSchedulingFairfield *** *** ***01/08/09:AMSchedulingFairfield *** *** ***12/10/10:AMSchedulingFairfield*** *** *** ***12/03/08:AMSchedulingFairfield *** *** *** *** ***UsageDateTypeServiceClub(POS)Club(Used)EmployeeAssignedUserName Check in History..You've checked in times this year and times since you joined in November of 2016 07/04/09:AM896207/02/11:AM8962NO CHECK IN IN DAYS04/22/08:AM896204/02/09:AM896204/01/08:AM8962NO CHECK IN IN DAYS02/26/09:AM8962NO CHECK IN IN DAYS01/15/09:AM896201/08/08:AM896212/10/09:AM896212/03/07:AM8962The honest truth is, you are the perfect candidate for the Strong or Team training, better yet One on One, because it will build comradery with other members and cause you to come to the gym more, while keeping in contact with members you train with via MYZONE. I say this, because this is what consumers and studio owners of *** *** *** ***, ***, *** *** etchave all said when discussing their experience's, and of course the physical benefits. Please don't knock it until you try it and if I can help you get to the gym more I certainly will. Maybe a few personal training sessions with Toni would help you, of course on the house?

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: changing the cost of the regular classes that were a part of the membership I agreed to as part of my contract from $a month to now this is patently unfair and a material change to the terms of agreement for which I agreed and am technically locked into It's unfair and I want to end my contract now! I do not way to pay $a month for classes that used to cost $a month which were full classes. One on Onepersonal training sessions a month only $use them or loose them. Team & Strong sessions, full gym access, fitness classes, child sitting and tanning.Strong Unlimited Strong & Team training sessions for only $a month. Full gym access, fitness classes, child sitting and tanning.Team Unlimited Team training sessions for only $a month. Full gym access, fitness classes, child sitting and tanning. If this is not resolved here or at the corporate level, I'm going to take it publicly to TV sites for these deceptive practices or to consumer affairs

Just to be very clear, we have not changed the pricing on any of our group fitness classesThe pricing is exactly the same only $+ taxYes we are rolling out a functional training program, called NEO and includes Team, Strong and One on One personal trainingWe are offering members who would like to experience this type of training complimentary ( Free ) sessions, team and strongIf a member likes the training sessions, they can change their membership typeThere is no obligation to changeWe are still offering over classes a week that our part of our group fitness class membership and again the pricing of only + tax will not change. This is the slowest time of the year, and we will be adjusting the class schedule based on instructors availability, due to time off and vacations that instructors have requestedIn regards to Mrs***, as I stated in my earlier response, I am certainly surprised that she is taking the time to complain, because of her lack of gym attendanceShe has only come to the gym times in 2017, and has not come into the gym since AprilShe attended classes on Saturday and on Sunday this year and the Saturday class is still on the scheduleThe Sunday class is the same instructor that she likes and she can attend the Team training sessions for Free times and under NO obligationI even offered her Two private personal training sessions for Free with the same Instructor that she likes, because the Instructor is also a Personal trainerI hope this clarify's the complaint, please contact me with any and all questionsThank you

Dear Revdex.com, I do not believe my employee told Mr. [redacted] he can cancel in 30days, because our policy to cancel is 21days notice after your 12th payment. joining. He also acknowledge that he understood the agreement he signed and that he read the cancellation policy of 21days notice after you 12th payment. Yes his wife is a member and so is his sons. Mr. [redacted] nevr spoke with my staff after he joined, he did call the billing company [redacted] which I will copy on this email. They explained the policy of proof of move and nothing was ever sent to them or brought into our gym. Our policy is 25 miles from any Retro fitness not just our location. We even tried to reach him several times, once on August 21st and again on August 28th to let him know his payments were past due and he never returned our call.                                                                                           ABC Notes... Hello, I have spoken with the manager ofRetro Fitness of West Orange, [redacted], about [redacted]s account. He informed methat when he spoke with [redacted] he did let her know that they had not receivedthe letter requesting to cancel [redacted]s account and informed [redacted] that ifshe has proof of move for...

[redacted], whether it be a piece of mail with her nameand address on it or a new driver’s license, he would cancel it effectiveimmediately. He also stated that they do accept certified letters to cancel aswell as coming into the club or e-mailing the manager. I did ask him if she hada return receipt from the letter she sent certified mail, as I had asked her ifshe had when she came into the Fairfield location, would he accept that to cancelit effective immediately and he said he would. [redacted] is over the age of 18 and waswhen she signed up, therefore; we are unable to discuss her membership, regardless of who pays for the membership, to anyone other than [redacted]. Asstated previously, if there is a return receipt that [redacted] or [redacted] can providefrom forwarding the letter certified mail to the billing company, [redacted]can then be contacted to see if the letter has been received and the status ofthe letter. The information provided to [redacted] was accurate in regards to[redacted] cancelling her membership via certified mail to [redacted], due to[redacted] not being able to make it into the facility, regardless of whether themembership was transferred or not. The memberships do transfer basedon the amount of times a location is used within the month. Although RetroFitness is a franchise, it is individually owned. You are able to use any RetroFitness location with your membership but (for example) if you move and thereis another Retro Fitness location closer to you and you use that location 60%of the time your membership transfers. Once the membership transfers thatcurrent club is now able to access your membership, billing, notes, healthwaiver, etc. A membership transferring is for the convenience of the member andplacing their billing at the right location they are using. If a member choosesthey would like to go back to their “home location” all they need to do iscontinue using that location 60% of the time and it will automatically transferback.  The membership is currently at the West Orange location, and as long as the proper information requested by themanager is provided, they will cancel it out. The Fairfield location is unableto access [redacted]s membership. Unfortunately this is all the information I canprovide to you at this time. If there is any other questions or concerns pleasefeel free to contact me at the club via phone or e-mail.[redacted]E-mail: [redacted]

anything other than bill the memberships and enforce our policy's. Our managers know our policies and I'm sure the retro fitness transfer policy was explained properly to the member,  just because she says it wasn't doesn't mean it's true.  Retro fitness corporate reviews member transfers monthly, the gym has no control over member transfers and neither do members,  only retro corporate.  Members who check in a minimum of 7times in 1 month and a majority of 60% to one location,  will be transferred to the location that they use the most.  We have an average of over 40 transfersa month, both in and out.  I'm certain that this member just didn't qualify or retro fitness corporate,  certainly would have transfer her.

I am rejecting this response because:
The policy articulated in the response is yet again different than any I have received.  I believe this is the 4th story, or the 3rd change.  Consistent with the level of dishonesty I have experienced on this issue.  Their explanation only further proves further the dishonest business practice. The intended business model is to bill forever while changing the story of how a transfer can be earned.  Retro Fitness Fairfield received monthly billings for Nov & Dec 2015 as well as for Jan, Feb & March 2016.  During that time I never went to the Fairfield location and used only the Whippany location - maybe 15 or 20 times.  I am not requesting refund during the 5 plus month deception as I received value.  Retro Fitness Fairfield's billing practices and further harassment is only more bad will on their part.  If it persists, I will complain to NJ.

Dear [redacted], As per your son's membership ([redacted] / [redacted]), [redacted] personally handled it. First he contacted [redacted] which is our collections agency that Retro Fitness of Fairfield uses and and pulled [redacted] membership from collections, then he contacted the...

billing company [redacted] and cancelled his membership out. If you have any questions or concerns about anything feel free to contact us at the club at [redacted] or via email at [redacted]. Thank you.
