I purchased adult toys for a bachelorette party and when I got it home it looked like it had been used. On June 8, 2016, I purchased adult toys as a gift for a bachelorette party and once I got them home (they did not test them there as they stated that they did not have any batteries) so I called the manager ([redacted]) stated that if there is a problem I could exchange the items. On June 12, I went to wrap one of the products and I noticed that the package had been opened. I noticed a foreign substance on the inside of the package and that there were dead batteries in it. I went to the store to return the products but the manager wasn't in but the employee on duty demo'd some products for us and did not clean the products prior to placing them back on the shelf. I called the manager a few weeks later and let her know what I witnessed and that the item I had bought looked like it had been used and looked so disgusting and that I wanted to return both products and all she offered was store credit on the one item that I told her about. I stated that I didn't want to purchase anything else from her store since the items were not clean in my eyes but she would not give me a cash refund. Desired SettlementI would like to return the items for my money back and not store credit.Business Response Hello, I received this complaint and I am confused on a few issues.1) We do Not sale anything that is used. Matter of fact I do not take any returns at all which is clearly stated on our sales receipt, front counter and on our hang tags, this is due to the nature of our store. 2)Battery issue; There have been times that we have run out of batteries to double check in front of our customers,but we always check our toys prior to placing them into inventory to make sure that they are in working order prior to being placed into our inventory. There are times that we do get very busy and I am assuming that one of our sales clerks may have left batteries inside the toy due to an over sight, maybe. 3)As far as wiping down a toy we always use our favorite product After Glow that kills everything. We do a daily cleaning front to back everyday and after showing a toy, and if you had a newer staff member show the toy that did not wipe it down in front of you rest assure we have them show us what they showed to our customers at night(for extra training) and we remind them that we always wipe down our toys. However we are human and a mistake can be made and we have since reinforced are cleaning rules 4.)I personally spoke with this customer and I gave her my personal cell phone to get in contact with me at anytime for any questions.5.) She stated that she purchased the toy on Wednesday 06/08/16 and came back in on Sunday. I believe she spoke with me later that week. I explained that we don't take returns for the above reasons. However I would give her a full credit to my store all she had to do was bring in her receipt to show me that in fact the above was purchased at our store. The above customer seemed very satisfied with our conclusion however, I never heard back from her. She never contacted me other then the one phone call, she never provided me with a receipt and she never showed me the products.
