I lived at a Chodock Holdings location ( [redacted] on 16th), it was the worse decision I could have made This management is the epitome of horrible and extortionistsI left my unit spotless, and they come back and told me that I have to pay for hours of additional cleaning service of the bedroom unitThey had nothing to show that it actually needed cleaning or that it was even doneThe fee was of course exactly the same amount as my deposit, which was then retracted and increased for again no clear or good reasonFor questioning all of this, ***, the owner, threatened me with filling with his attorney, rather than working with me to explain why he was trying to charge me for something unnecessary On top of all of this, Chodock made an agreement with me on their own terms that if they found a tenant as soon as I left I would not have to pay for the month after my lease was upI was then notified that a new lease has been signed for my unit and did not have to pay and I agreed with them, and everything seemed to be finalizedThem saying they had a new lease with someone else for my old unit shows that I am no longer responsible for it, but rather the new tenantRather the owner, ***, emails me more than a week later to tell me that I needed to pay for a month because they did not rent the unit outAgain I questioned the validity of all of this, and I was met with sarcasm and disrespectHe resorted to threatening to take this to his attorney for collection I am so glad to be out of this complex, and not have to be near this thing someone calls a firmThe worse
