I am rejecting this response because:
Dave C*** is not being honestHe had the car in his possession for several daysI asked him how he could sell a car with someone else's plate on it and he replied that he's not technically selling it, just letting his friend use it and that it's my own fault for leaving the plate on the carThis man had assured me that all I had to do was sign over the title to him and he would take care of everything elseHe told me to go ahead and cancel the insuance and he'd have his tow truck pick it up ~ then it would no longer be my problem
Regards,

this is the text that Rose sent me stating the head gasket was bad: Hello Dave: I would like to talk to you regarding the *** *** I brought to for repairI can't understand why such professed mechanic would have blown up my engine. YOU KNEW THERE WAS WATER GETTING INTO THE ENGINE!!! You told me that over the phone(Which was on speaker) at that timeSO I have witness to that factALSO my dad whom is a master mechanic told you that when the car was first brought in that what he thought the problem was was the bead gaskethe would had fixed it if he was not yrs oldThat's I brought it to youThinking I could trust you.I am giving you the opportunity to make this situation go awayI want $Which would be half the price of a rebuilt engine. If you refuse to respond I will take this to the BBC (Revdex.com...an I will completely make sure everyone on *** will hear about your mechanical abilities!!! Also I will be taking you small claims and have the sheriff's come levy your tools for much moreBy the way I have another shop write me a letter of what they would had done to save my engineWhom is willing to come to courtSo you decide what route you want to take.*** ***

The time that [redacted] called me is irrelevant to the fact that she continued to drive the car knowing that something was wrong with it.

To whom it may concern.I have known [redacted] for several years. I only hope to clear the air and get this behind us.I‘m Not Going to go into all the late payments and the length of time the car was left here after repairs.[redacted] called me and said she was half way to South Carolina,...

(as described by her letter to you) when the transmission started acting up.  I told her to get it checked before driving any more. The next phone call wasfrom South Carolina. She said the garage there claimed the trans was shot. When  car arrived at my shop I found a small leak in the rear transmission cover gasket. (not noticeable with short test drives ). The transmission was 4 quarts low on fluid. l replaced the gasket and filled the transmission , but it was too late. She had already damaged the clutches  driving the car when the transmission ?uid was low. Thisvoids  warranties. I estimated the repair to be around $1 600.00. I told [redacted] that I would be glad to do the repair for $800.00 to cover some cost.In short the transmission is not cracked and [redacted] continued to drive  the car (see highlighted area of [redacted]'s letter) after l had asked her not to. The transmission could have been easily repaired if she had gottenit towed at  the ?rst sign of trouble.Thank  tor the opportunity to voice my side of the story.David C[redacted] Sr.

To whom it may concern.have known Rose for several years. I have helped her with her car problems many times in the past with little to no charge for my services. In this case Rose called me and said her car would not start. She claimed it was running fine earlier in the day. offered to help pay for...

the tow because she claimed not to have any money. When the car arrived at my shop Rose and her Dad was asking question faster than could answer them. They kept asking me to try stuff like "is it the starter, is it the battery, is it the air filter" "Try it now"," Try it now" ECT, ECT. after 10 to 15 minutes asked them to leave. "I have other work that needs to be done and I will call you as soon as I know something". No sooner did she get home she called. explained that I had no more information at this time. Not 5 minutes later her Dad called and I told him the same thing.I ran the scanner and the car had an unusual Crank Signal. I pulled a spark plug and it was fouled. At this time replaced the Crank sensor and spark plugs. The car started but only for less than a minute. I shut it off, the exhaust was clogged.I called Rose and told her what I found. She asked me to gut the converter because she has no money to fix it (which is illegal, believe). told her would remove the exhaust and try yet again. The next day removed the exhaust and attempted to start the engine. It would not start due to antifreeze leaking past the head gasket into the cylinder compression chamber. We call this "Hydro lock". This is due to the car being driven hot. This is why she had to have the car towed in the first place. Nothing I did added to or increased the damage already done to her engine.wrote up a quick estimate for the head gasket replacement and or engine replacement for comparison. I called to inform Rose of what found and what her options were. She would not let me speak past "hydro lock" and was saying I owe her a car. She claimed that there was nothing wrong with her car before I worked on it and she was going to sue me.After she sold the car to the scrap yard (The next day), she then made several threatening phone calls and mailed threatening letters to me. I talked to a lawyer. He advised me not to have any conversations with Rose for any reasons. Until I am advised otherwise I will not answer her or return her phone calls, letter, or messages.in conclusion the car broke down on her. It was towed to me. performed a diagnostic evaluation. Concluded it was a failed head gasket. Prepared the customer an estimate to fix it, and gave her the option to repair or replace the engine.I also have copies of Emails and texts admitting she knew the head gasket was bad before the car was towed in to my shop.Thank you for the opportunity to voice my side of the story.David C[redacted] Sr.
