Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: This is [redacted] and [redacted] ’s daughter I was there when my father was taken to his doctor’s appointment In answer to the Choice Medical Transport response to my mother’s complaint, I submit the following: The price quoted for the transport from the rehab center to the doctor’s office was $ There was never any discussion that the price was $but there would be a discount for a shared ride The rehab center had no advance notice of this shared rideThey found out when we did [redacted] (where the other appointment was) is not on the way to [redacted] (where my father’s appointment was)My father was very stressed and exhausted from the long car ride and arrived minutes late for his very critical appointmentMy parents and I were sitting on a bench waiting almost an hour waiting for the driver for the return trip He told us they were short handed and drove to Manhasset from Islip when he received the call I, personally, spoke to the owner of Choice He told me that this was not supposed to happen He told me they were short drivers and that’s why he had to double up He also said that they made a mistake by not taking my father to his cardiologist’s appointment first He said they did not map it out correctlyThat was his rationale for offering $towards the next ride So although your response to our complaint was well written, there was, in fact, little truth to it[Your Answer Here] In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

I [redacted] , have scanned the original document receipt that came out of the Choice Medical Transport credit card machine to show the refund of 1st $then another $equaling a total of $submitted to the card for refund [redacted] himself told me he thought a refund can take up to hours, however I am not sure exactly how long a refund on this credit card takes to post I did apologize and immediately responded with the refunds doing the very best that could possibly be done on my part The receipt is on slips of paper because the return was actually for $not $as originally stated (the math was wrong), as the receipt shows, there is a time stamp, date and the last numbers of the card being disputed

Dear Revdex.com:In response to the complaint, that we have just received to day, from [redacted] -regarding her husbands transport on April **, 2017-I will share the following.AThe cost of her Private pay from a Nursing Home is $round tripAs a courtesy-because we were taking two Clients out of the same Nursing home to different Doctor appointments, on the same day in a similar direction, we only charged [redacted] $They already were given a $courtesy priceThis would be our similar practice with any Nursing Home that we contract wia courtewe take two out, at the same time-traveling near each otherWe are a very Professional Company, that has been around for many yearsand this is not our style and or mission to hurt anyoneWe do about plus calls daily-and are well appreciated in the Ambulette Industry for our fairness-courtesy and honestyOur Drivers are very profession-courteous, and friendlyOur Ambulettes are DOT Inspected twice a year-can be randomly inspected at any given timeThey are checked out in the AM and PM by the Drivers for both safety and cleanlinessIf our Driver notices any problems, they will bring it to our Mechanics attention for immediate correctionIf the Ambulett needs any cleaning-either inside or out, the Driver will take care of thatIf any Client has any concern, on the spot, we will immediately address that and correct that as well.The Price of $was more than a fair price-based on private payIt was a courtesyThe Facility was aware of their two Clients going out at the same time-and that while on the way-not going out of [redacted] M [redacted] HAD HIS APPOINTMENT [redacted] M [redacted] 's Doctors office called ready at 4:P.Mas documented on the call list and computerOur Policy is within the hour and the second Driver arrived to pick up [redacted] M [redacted] at 4:P.M-just minlaterWhen we arrived we did not leave the Doctor's office until 5:and arrived back at the Nursing Home at 5:P.M [redacted] M [redacted] was not ready when we arrived to take him backWe are not a Limo servitruly are a Professional and responsible Ambulette Company that prides themselves on Courtesy-Friendliness-Professionalism-Fair pricing-and SafetyIn all those areas, we deliveredWe do about calls daily and Drive over one million miles yearlyWe cannot predict the traffic patterns/accident/weather conditions, as an exact science-but we do get our Clients to their appointment and or call if there are issuesOur Owner offered another courtesy price, do to the fact that the Clients wife was upsan additional $off her next trip with usIf they had chosen not to use us any more, that was not our decisionAs I have indicated, we have never ever double dippedWe transported the Client safely to and form his appointmentWe offered a very fare courtesy price of $80-not the $that the trip should have cost-and offered another deduction of $off their next trip with usThere was never any" Joy Ride" as stated in the complaintA Client from Belair N.Hwas also going to a Doctor's appointment and he was dropped off on the wayWe are very sorry that [redacted] feels this way, and if she decides to go out with Choice again, we will honor the $off the price as stated

I [redacted], have scanned the original document receipt that came out of the Choice Medical Transport credit card machine to show the refund of 1st $24.00 then another $10.00 equaling a total of $34.00 submitted to the card for refund.  [redacted] himself told me he thought a refund can take up to 48 hours, however I am not sure exactly how long a refund on this credit card takes to post.  I did apologize and immediately responded with the refunds doing the very best that could possibly be done on my part.  The receipt is on 2 slips of paper because the return was actually for $34.00 not $24.00 as originally stated (the math was wrong), as the receipt shows, there is a time stamp, date and the last 4 numbers of the card being disputed.

This is [redacted] and [redacted]’s daughter.  I was there when my father was taken to his doctor’s appointment.  In answer to the Choice Medical Transport response to my mother’s complaint, I submit the following:  1. The price quoted for the transport from the rehab center to the doctor’s office was $80.  There was never any discussion that the price was $100 but there would be a discount for a shared ride.  2. The rehab center had no advance notice of this shared ride. They found out when we did.  3. My father was very stressed and exhausted from the long car ride and arrived 15 minutes late for his very critical appointment. 4. My parents and I were sitting on a bench waiting almost an hour waiting for the driver for the return trip.  He told us they were short handed and drove to Manhasset from Islip when he received the call.   I, personally, spoke to the owner of Choice.  He told me that this was not supposed to happen.  He told me they were short 2 drivers and that’s why he had to double up.  He also said that they made a mistake by not taking my father to his cardiologist’s appointment first.  He said they did not map it out correctly. A mistake was made when price was quoted, the contract Choice has with [redacted] Hospital states, base price $65.00 plus $2.00 per mile for any miles over 10 miles.  The invoice read $99.00 that means $65.00 plus $34.00 for the additional 17 miles.  The customer called, explained his...

frustration, I [redacted] explained why the charge was $99.00 and told customer because this was our isolated error, we would immediately refund customer the $34.00 over his original quoted price.  I refunded the $34.00 and called [redacted] and told him his additional charge was refunded.  A meeting was held with call takers and management to review our policy regarding prices especially pertaining trips to with mileage. [redacted] told me he was pleased with my quick response to a mistake and "Thank You!" Choice does not ever try to "rip people off", as suggested by the client, anytime there are any discrepancies we work with our clients to take responsibility and accountability.

This would be our similar practice with any Nursing Home that we contract with-as a courtesy-if we take two out, at the same time-traveling near each other. We are a very Professional Company, that has been around for many years. and this is not our style and or mission to hurt anyone. We do about 300 plus calls daily-and are well appreciated in the Ambulette Industry for our fairness-courtesy and honesty. Our Drivers are very profession-courteous, and friendly. Our Ambulettes are DOT Inspected twice a year-can be randomly inspected at any given time. They are checked out in the AM and PM by the Drivers for both safety and cleanliness. If our Driver notices any problems, they will bring it to our Mechanics attention for immediate correction. If the Ambulett needs any cleaning-either inside or out, the Driver will take care of that. If any Client has any concern, on the spot, we will immediately address that and correct that as well.The Price of $80 was more than a fair price-based on private pay. It was a courtesy. When we arrived we did not leave the Doctor's office until 5:14 and arrived back at the Nursing Home at 5:52 P.M. [redacted] was not ready when we arrived to take him back. We are not a Limo service-we truly are a Professional and responsible Ambulette Company that prides themselves on Courtesy-Friendliness-Professionalism-Fair pricing-and Safety. In all those areas, we delivered. We do about 300 calls daily and Drive over one million miles yearly. We cannot predict the traffic patterns/accident/weather conditions, as an exact science-but we do get our Clients to their appointment and or call if there are issues. Our Owner offered another courtesy price, do to the fact that the Clients wife was upset-of an additional $30 off her next trip with us. If they had chosen not to use us any more, that was not our decision. As I have indicated, we have never ever double dipped. We transported the Client safely to and form his appointment. We offered a very fare courtesy price of $80-not the $100 that the trip should have cost-and offered another deduction of $30 off their next trip with us. There was never any" Joy Ride" as stated in the complaint. A Client from Belair N.H. was also going to a Doctor's appointment and he was dropped off on the way. We are very sorry that [redacted] feels this way, and if she decides to go out with Choice again, we will honor the $30 off the price as stated.

Review: SATURDAY 1/**/2015 I SPOKE WITH [redacted] WITH CHOICE MEDICAL TRANSPORT. SHE TOLD ME THE CHARGE TO TRANSPORT MY MOM FROM [redacted] HOSPITAL IN [redacted] NY TO [redacted] IN [redacted] NY WOULD BE $65.00. I AUTHORIZED THE CHARGE AND GAVE HER MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION.

ON 1/**/2015 A CHARGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $99.00 WAS PUT ON MY CREDIT CARD. I SPOKE WITH [redacted] AT CHOICE MEDICAL TRANSPORT WHO TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE ORIGINAL QUOTE OF $65.00 . I TOLD HER I WAS GOING TO MAKE A REPORT AND SHE SAID OK. TWENTY MINUTES LATER I RECEIVED A CALL FROM [redacted] WHO TOLD ME SHE WILL HONOR THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT AND CREDIT $24 BACK TO MY CREDIT CARD. I FEEL THIS UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE AND I WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE COMING OUT OF THE HOSPITAL NEVER CHECK AND ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF! I WILL MONITOR MY STATEMENT FOR THE $24. CREDIT AND HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO TAKE THIS FURTHER.Desired Settlement: $24.00 CREDIT BACK TO MY CREDIT CARD
