Choo Choo Built-it Mart Reviews (4)

*** *** purchased a Ford Fusion on July 26, 2013. Over two years later his mother came to our business demanding money due to a low trade in price her son was given at another dealership. He was trying to trade in the Ford Fusion on a new car. That particular day
*** was by himself dealing with other customers when Mrs*** came in to the office. As we told Mrs***, we would have bought the Ford Fusion back at a fair price. We were not given that opportunity. Instead they traded it in for pennies on the dollar. The trade in price can also be affected by many more factors: dents, dings, inside condition, outside condition and the list can go on and on. Northcrest Auto also encourages all customers to have their own mechanic inspect the vehicle they are wanting to purchase. The car was sold to *** ***. He was shown the CarFax which shows Very minor damage reported. The accident was discussed with Mr*** and everyone was aware that the vehicle had been in an accident. The CarFax remains the same today. CarFax does not give detailed information about what was replaced on the vehicle. We do not use Auto Check. When purchasing a vehicle from any dealership an “AS IS” document is signed. Mr*** signed this document which proves that he was aware that the car had been in a very minor accident stated by CarFaxWe did write Martha *** a check for $750. After consulting with our attorney, *** *** signed an “AS IS” document and Martha *** was not a party in the transaction. We were advised to stop payment on the checkAs far as reimbursement, we do not feel responsible as we were not given an opportunity to quote a price on the Ford Fusion*** *** *** *** Northcrest Auto

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Your business owner denied knowing where the information went to on his own personal website that the company maintains and furthermore should have better accountability and control of something that has the company's name written all over it I find it very unacceptable that a business established in is so negligent with personal information and has no knowledge your control over its website that's unacceptable what is the exact email exchange that it went to and who has access to that information?

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:In responding to Northcrest Auto response.I was the lien holder of my son’s vehicleMy wife had called earlier to set up an appointment to discuss the Ford Fusion, we did not just drop in, the *** knew that we were coming (thus their decision of one person being there)My wife (who is the business person) and I visited with ***, showing him the data (pictures of the NON OEM fender as well as the repaired frame) and the email from the dealership sales manager stating the prior damageWe did ask if a resolution could be reachedWe did not just go in and demand moneyThere was a customer that came in several times and each time discussion ceased as to not disrupt their business. Then vehicle was in excellent condition, it was the repaired frame that dropped the amount of the trade as was relayed by the dealership manager Our son along with my wife and I were shown the CarFax when viewing the carSince it was listed as “AS IS,” we asked what the damages were and were told “scratches” by *** It is stated that each vehicle is handpicked and inspected before being placed on Northcrest Auto lot on the Northcrest websiteThe AutoCheck report stated that it was announced at Auto Auction as Unibody damage which led us to believe that the *** knew there was frame damagePlease note that Northcrest Auto has a car lift on their premises to inspect vehiclesIt was known the vehicle was in a minor accident but at NO time was prior frame damage revealed to us but scratches. After reviewing the data concerning the Ford Fusion, we did ask for a resolution*** stated that it was known at the time of purchase that the vehicle had been in an accident which we replied we were told scratchesHe also stated that we did not call and offer them the opportunity to buy the car back; however, we told *** that the time of day we were at the dealership Northcrest was closed, the new car rebates were expiring and we had no idea what his response would beAfter the fact, *** stated he would have purchased the carWe stated the thing that bothered us the most was the statement on Northcrest website about vehicles being personally inspected and the fact that it was announced at Auto Auction as Unibody damage before Northcrest purchased the vehicleAfter further discussion, *** agreed to write a check*** asked if we would be satisfied and not pursue further to which we answered, yesWe stated since my husband had been the lien holder that lost the money from the vehicle, we said the check should be written to him*** said it did not matter and since my wife is the business person, he wrote the check to herThe day after, my wife deposited the check, however, upon her return home there was a message from Stacy Kamolis who advised in an angry tone that she had stop payment on the check and stating all the reasons *** had stated the day beforeAt no time did the message relay upon attorney adviceStacy ended the conversation that she had called the dealership and that that the dealership was going to make a lot of money off the Fusion and that we needed to call the dealership to get our resolution ($750).I feel that since *** *** agreed to a resolution of $(which is less than what I lost as the lien holder) that it should be honoredHe wrote the check and handed it to my wifeI have the returned check from the bank in m y possession*** was shown all the data, nothing was held backAt no time was it ever disclosed to my son, me or my wife that there had been frame damage before the purchase of the vehicle

The information submitted went to an email that has not been used in many years therefore no one had access to any personal information.  We did not realize that the financing tab and the old email were still linked.  The financing tab has been removed to prevent this from happening again.
