Chopper Supply, Inc. Reviews (1)

I purchased tripe tree's from Chopper Supply in the amount of $1,415.00 and provided them with my charge card information. They sent the tree's to the installer and my installer refused to put them on without my signing a waiver which I would not do. So I sent the tree's back to Chopper Supply via [redacted] as they requested. I spent $65.00 in shipping due to the fact [redacted] would not insure them if I didn't have them repackage the tree's. Upon arrival at Chopper Supply on Jan. [redacted] they claimed there was significant damage and sent me an e-mail showing the damage. But they only had credited my charge card $1,115.00. They charged me $239.00 for damage and $44.68 for using my credit card. I had checked these tree's out prior to shipping and the only thing that was on them were finger prints which I used a soft cloth to remove. There was no damage. I feel Chopper Supply took a picture of a damaged tree they had at their shop and have charged me this damage. There is no way I would have not noticed this amount of damage to the tree's prior to shipping them back. I would have called Chopper Supply prior to sending them out if there would have been any damage. I was confident that I was going to get my entire credit for these triple trees. They said I could file a claim with [redacted] seeing I had them insured, but they told me there was no damage to the exterior of the box. I feel they are dishonest and took the pictures of some other damaged triple tree.Product_Or_Service: Triple TreesDesired SettlementI would like them to send me a money order or cashier check in the amount of $283.00 I know I am responsible for $38.00 for the shipping from Chopper Supply to my installer. But there is no way these tree's left my possession in the condition they have indicated. So I would like the $239.00 for the damage they claim and the $44.00 for them using my charge card. I feel they are being very dishonest. Business Response [redacted] custom ordered one of our motorcycle rake kits on Dec [redacted] We shipped the kit directly to her installer as she requested The kit was delivered on [redacted] Several weeks later she contacted us and asked to return the kit, stating the installer wanted her to sign a release form (which is customary when you bring in your own custom parts to be installed). She refused to sign the waver and wanted to return a custom made for her bike item. We called her install shop to get their side of the story and were told that they were having issues with Mrs. [redacted] on work they had already done on her bike and that she got angry, picked up her motorcycle, and parts uninstalled, and left.We informed Mrs. [redacted] that she could return the parts if they haven't been installed and we would waive the 25% restocking fee. Upon receiving the items back one part of the kit was damaged. Pictures were taken and emailed to [redacted] that same day. We notified her that one part was damaged and decided to only deduct OUR cost for the one part and issue a refund for the remaining parts of the kit that she returned.Mrs. [redacted] paid with a credit card, so we were charged merchant fees on the transaction. We do not receive that money the credit card company does, but [redacted] wanted us to reimburse her for that too. She refused to file a claim with [redacted] for the damages, instead, she files a claim with the [redacted] credit card company against us. Her claim was denied by [redacted] and ruled in our favor. We have been in business for over 10 years and Mrs. [redacted] is the only person that's ever accused us of being dishonest. We find it VERY insulting, especially after we allowed her to return a custom made part and moreover, waived our restocking fee. We think Mrs. [redacted] is being very unreasonable and we're sorry we couldn't please her.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)When I purchased the triple tree from Chopper Supply and asked on their return policy, [redacted] obsessed over the fact they could not have any scratches or dings to receive credit so I was fully aware of this. The only problem I had with [redacted]'s Custom was finding triple tree's to start with and when they received these they refused to install them unless I signed a waiver if my son had an accident with his bike because of the unusual design of these trees. Due to the fact that the majority of the bill was labor I would not sign the waiver and I did pick up the bike. [redacted] from Chopper blamed the damage on [redacted]'s Custom and I told Mike at [redacted]'s Custom. He said they only unpacked them, looked at the design and decided I needed to sign a waiver. The only thing present on the triple tree's when I picked them up from [redacted]'s Custom was finger prints which I removed with a fine cloth and took them to [redacted] to ship. I also had over $1,000 in additional parts at [redacted]'s and none of them were damaged when I picked them up either. Seeing the box was not damaged according to Chopper Supply the only place the damage seemed to come from is Chopper Supply. If you need to contact [redacted]'s I can supply their phone number. I still believe Chopper Supply submitted a picture of damaged triple trees that they had in their shop and possibly returned by another customer. They also deducted this amount from my credit without notifying me that they were doing so and why. I had to call them and ask why I did not receive my full credit. They should have notified me first. When I took the triple tree's to [redacted] they were in perfect condition. My credit card company said they are unaware of merchant charges that must be a fee for the company using a service to process credit cards and they are unable to get involved in this dispute. I feel this is a very dishonest company. I feel the only way this amount of damage could have appeared on the tree's is if they had been installed on a bike, but [redacted]'s Custom never attempted to install them. They never unpacked the hardware. Final Business Response We've already submitted our side of this dispute for anyone to review. Below is a link to reviews of our company and products. As you'll see, we're known world wide for outstanding customer service. Some have described it as "Over the Top Service" This customer is the one and only in our history that we can not please.[redacted]
