Chris Bouslog, Attorney Reviews (4)

Dear Revdex.com:
I represented the Complainant initially on both a Worker's Compensation and third party bodily injury claim arising out of a motor vehicle accident on MauiThe injuries claimed to have resulted from the accident were regarded by the workers compensation insurer as
out of proportion to the force of the collision and to the Complainant's extraordinary level of athletic conditioningWith increased level of hearings on Maui before the Department of Labor, I arranged to transfer his representation on the industrial injury claims to a Maui attorney. A number of Independent Medical Exams were in agreement that the vast majority of the disabling conditions claimed did not result from the accidentMy recollection is that the only injuries attributed to the collision were soft tissue neck and back strains/sprains.
The workers compensation carrier agreed to a buyout or wash of the claim which was extraordinary under the circumstances and I was able to convince the insurer to waive it's claim for reimbursement from any 3rd party claims
I subsequently decided that I was not willing to continue to represent the Complainant because he had what I felt were expectations to effectuate a recovery from the other driver for all claimed conditions notwithstanding that the great weight of medical opinion was that these were not causally related to the accident It is my opinion that he was going to be extremely unhappy with any result that I would be likely to effectuateIn addition the costs of litigating the case, given the number of IME and treating providers on Oahu, Maui and on the mainland where he had previously resided would reduce the Complainant's net recovery to almost nothing, causing him further bitterness
After the work comp case settled, I spent considerable time trying to get the date of the last payment of medical/rehabilitative benefits from the worker's compensation carrierThis would establish when the statute of limitations applicable to his motor vehicle claims would run.
I then withdrew from his case, which the Representation Agreement which controls our relationship permitted me to do.
The Complainant has recently informed me that he has retained replacement counselI have been in contact with Complainant and have informed him that his file has been prepared for transfer and is ready for pick upIt is my understanding from the Complainant that his signed Representation Agreement with his new counsel is in the mailWhen his attorney receives it and contacts me we will arrange for him to get the file.
Yours,
Chris B***

I am rejecting this response because: Chris didn't arrange for another lawyer on Maui for workers compDue to his incompetence to get medical help for me, and his relationship with WC lawyerOnce I change to Timothy Mcnulty on Maui for the workers he got a hearing and got a judgment on my passing out in my favor.
I had Chris over see the whole case he directed me to cancel my following hears from workers comp, since they still didn't give me medical helpMy own personal doctors wouldn't help since it was WC and they also said the passing out was from accidentUnder Chris BDirection I canceled the hearingsHe told me he would move forward with h main part of the caseOnce I did that I moved to mainland to afford to live on my disabilityChris never once mentioned he would drop my case if I didMatter of fact he continued on my caseChris waited on a paper I had and only took one phone call to get a copy emailed to me in a few daysThen he drops me after sitting on the case for a yearI called over lawyers for help after drop the case, most said they did have enough time to put case together for a hearingA few were very upset with his actions and stated he gave lawyers a bad nameOne even wished he did malpractice so he could help me.
To me it looks like Chris sold me outThe van frame was bent and unrepairableI was stoped at a light and was rear ended toatal van and left me disabledI made 90,a year to go to disablilty of a month and he thinks I don't have a caseI hope nobody else puts there trust in to somebody for 51/years only to be hurt even more by a Laywer like Chris B***
Sincerely,
