My complaint is the way the worker installed the floor.Thier are pieces cut or torn off making holes in floor. The floor does not lay flat and smooth in places. The transition strips in both doorways full of liquid nail and caulk. One piece of strip is cut to short and very roughly cut.A craftsman was sent out on April 6,to check floor. He took pictures of the floor and all the problems. His recommendation to me wasto start over with a new floor.I want the floor installed by Handyman the correct way.Talked to [redacted] about the grout came out of the built in shelf in the shower. All four seams in the back.I was told I would get a call the next day.I'm still waiting.I also want that fixed so I don't have to have plastic up to use the shower. The call was made on April 13,about the grout

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  Handyman Connection HAS in fact, been to my home since project completion and assessed the leak. Rick made NO mention of the bidet- He stated that the leak was due to a loose bolt on the tank. He tightened this bolt , supposedly ( I was not in the room). It leaked again the next day. This leak is in no way involving the bidet- it is leaking on the opposite side of the toilet - from the BASE of the toilet- this indicates a problem with the toilet seal/ wax ring installed. The craftmans himself would know this. The efforts to ignore the poor workmanship is astounding. I've sent the manager multiple emails regarding the poor work Rick and Rob have done with NO response. This contract that Handyman has responded with is an ALTERED contract. Why don't they send the original one? They changed the original contract , detailing only things they wanted to do. I signed it under the premises that this was simply an agreement to changing some plumbing work (as Rick said). I was tricked into signing their altered contract and I will not settle for a "voided warranty". If this bidet had anything to do with the reason for why this toilet is leaking from the BASE of the toilet, then I'd understand. But this is not the case. I've attached a photo of the Bidet (It is not at all leaking).
Regards,
[redacted]

Handyman Connection will replace the floor but needs to know how much of the previously used product is available and needs the stock and lot number of that product to purchase any additional material. The sooner the customer provides this information the sooner she can be scheduled for the work. The grout in the shower will be repaired when the floor repair is done.

Ms. D. explained that when a customer makes any change to the original work done by the plumber, it voids the warranty due to not knowing if the work done by someone else had caused any damage or not.  When the customer installed the bidet, one of two things could have happened: it is possible that the toilet was rocked during the install, causing the wax seal to tear, or the toilet developed a crack. The business is willing to come fix the toilet for a nominal trip charge. As for the closets, business has a verbal acceptance from the customer that they are ok.

When Handyman Connection visited with the customer originally to discuss removing a walk-in tub with a walk-in shower, the customer mentioned the creaking floor in front of the tub which had been installed by another company or person (not Handyman Connection). The customer thought the floor had...

been glued down and the area that was creaking had not been glued down correctly. We agreed to replace the floor with a floating vinyl floor but did not contract to fix or replace the subfloor. The [redacted] is recognized as the standard bearer and on page 24 of their 2012 manual it reads:"The contractor shall not be responsible for problems resulting from any structural subfloor installation not complaint with applicable building codes, sunless structural subfloor was designed and installed by contractor, nor problems from overloading. As tile is a finish applied to and relying upon the underlying structure, an inadequate substructure can cause tile failure. In many cases, problems in the substructure may not be obvious, and the contractor cannot be expected to discover such and the contractor shall not be responsible for designing flooring assembly, unless specifically engaged to do so in writing. "The floor that Handyman Connection installed and the transition strip most likely failed because of the issues with the customer's subfloor. I explained this to the customer personally in January and told her that the proper fix of the floor was to take it up and install new subfloor, then put the floor back down. Since this repair was not covered by the contract, I informed the customer there would be a charge to do this work. The customer said she discuss with her husband and I did not receive a call to accept or decline this repair.Shortly after, Handyman Connection received a call that one of the transition strips had broken so we sent a craftsman out. He took up the floor that Handyman Connection had installed, put down foam underlayment (which the customer purchased), reinstalled the floor and transition. In order to install the same floor, it was necessary to apply additional adhesive to the vinyl floor tiles since the original adhesive wasn't sticky enough after being pulled apart. ( the tiles have adhesive strips that overlap). Proposed solution: If I replace the floor I will need the customer to sign and acknowledge that I am not responsible for the squeaky subfloor and the new floor may fail again if the subfloor is not corrected (which I will not do for free). Or I can buy the three cartons of material and let them install it or I can write a check for $[redacted]. The customer can choose the  option.
