Chris Nikel's Chrysler/Jeep Reviews (3)

When my new Charger showed up at Chris Nikel it was a mess of banged up body work and busted suspension. The folks at the Chris Nikel Collision Center did good work fixing it; it drives like the new car that it was before the accident. However, the customer service was abysmal. I had to call repeatedly to find out that they would be multiple days late on delivery and significantly over original estimate. When the final bill is over $20K, you don’t expect to have to call the shop like a bill collector to get information about what is going on with your car. In short, good repairs that take too long, cost too much, delivered with miserable customer communication.

After filing a complaint with Revdex.com [redacted] commercial service manager contacted me and resolved my problem 100% before Revdex.com contacted me. My dispute is taken care of and I am happy

28,000 miles ago I had a check engine light come on in my 2006 Dodge 2500. I took it to Chris Nikel Chrylser Jeep Dodge Ram in Broken Arrow. I was told I had scratches on my cylinder walls. The scratches supposedly came from dirty that was in the air filter. The service writer said that the service department could hone the scratches and install new rings and that would fix the problem. I was never offered any other service to fix the problem. After several weeks, the truck was finally ready. I paid the $4,800.00 service bill and went on my way. Every 7,500 miles I took it back for routine service. Every other time I change oil, I get the fuel filter changed. This truck is a 4 wheel drive diesel that I use to pull a 5th wheel camper. The 28,000 miles was 5 years ago. The truck is not driven off road. In September 2015, I was accelerating to get on the highway and noticed blue smoke coming out of my exhaust. I took it to Chris Nikel's once again. They again checked it out and could not find anything wrong and needed to pull the head. Once again were are scratches on the cylinder walls due to dirt coming through the air filter. This vehicle has only been serviced at Chris Nikel's so why was I not told that it needed an air filter change to prevent these things from happening? This time, the block will need to be pulled and sent for boring. I am quoted approximately $10,000.00 for the repairs. I came unglued. The service writer is no help and I can't get a return call from the service manager at this time. I need my vehicle so I approved the quote and not a penny more. The service writer says he will try to keep it as low as possible. 45 days plus I am told it is ready to pick up so I go to get it and he is so proud of himself because it is only $8640.13. I am less than enthused. I drive it home and then to work the next day. After work I notice oil under the front of the truck. I take it back to Chris Nikel's and have to leave it again. They do give me a vehicle to drive this time because it is their fault I had to bring it back. The next day the service writer calls me and tells me it is ready again. I go pick it up and it has been sitting in the sun and is hot so I turn on the air conditioner. The air conditioner doesn't work. I immediately turn around and take it back. The service writer said they had to drain the air conditioner and just forgot to re-charge it. At the same time I see a leak coming from the back of the engine on the ground. They give me another loaner vehicle. After two weeks they finally call and tell me it is ready. They had installed the wrong head gasket. I had to stop on the highway because my hood was not completely shut. I just returned home with it this evening. It is pouring rain so I can't really check it until it quits. At one point, I was promised a free oil change for my inconvenience. I did not receive any coupon or anything and besides what makes them think I would want to take it back for them to work on. I will never take it back to them to work on. On top of my issues with Chris Nikel's, my son-in-law bought a Jeep Cherokee from them in March with approximately 30,000 miles. His rear door locks don't work and it is almost impossible for him to get it in to get it worked on. This place is not customer friendly at all. I was told by the service manager that Chris Nikel wanted to call me. That has not happened and evidently he really didn't want to.
