Do not use this company We contacted them after getting what we thought was a very unfair estimate from our insurance company on a massive water leak They came out, did a good thorough inspection and we received an estimate from them for the insurance company They contacted the insurance company and nothing They allegedly sent paperwork and the estimate to the insurance company and nothing About two weeks later, they called me and told me to contact their attorney because there was nothing else they could do That was (is) the last time I heard from them
Since then I had to hire an attorney (I used mine since I became concerned about their fees - my insurance would pay them IF we went to litigation and won, which meant lots of time with our substantial damage), I had to get several other estimates from contractors since the insurance company would no honor theirs Four plus months later we still do not have a shower This week we settled with the insurance company for less that we could have, had we gone to litigation and another who knows how long Bulldog still gets their 20% of the entire claim before anyone else gets paid (attorney), for doing nothing
If you have a loss, save your 20%, do not hire them Get several reputable general contractors to give you estimates, work with your insurance adjuster and attempt to get it resolved, if you need to hire an attorney, hire a reputable one and they will do what needs to be done
I am not a complainer or one of those dissatisfied customers who whines about everything I believe in fair payment for work done I would have no hesitation to pay Bulldog if they had done something to earn their money, but 20% for what they did is shameful To me it is a cheap lesson and hope others learn from my mistake
