We offer to due the service at half the cost so instead of $40 it will be $20 but it is cleary stated on the Groupon that it is for a conventional oil change, tire rotation, and a pair of wiper blades. The Groupon is not allowed to be changed...

and altered, it is for a maintenance package.

Although the Groupon states that the service is for a "conventional" oil change, there is no clarity on the type of oil. I contacted Midas in advance, spoke to a person on the phone and was specific about my car model and year. The person specifically stated that the Groupon would cover this oil change for this price and never mentioned an extra charge. I went the next day and was told that I would have to pay an extra $40. In addition, the customer service was horrible. There was no attempt to reconcile the inconvenience, that this Midas location put me through, on the day that I arrived for service. I was just met with absolute dismissal and lack of respect.
Although a $20 offer was made, it was offered after I filed a complaint to the Revdex.com. Customers should not have to go through these extremes to get good customer service. This Midas location and the Manager MUST be held accountable for it's actions. I will not allow this Midas location to Buy Back my complaint with a mere $20. I elect to keep this complaint on their permanent record with the Revdex.com in hopes that more will follow. This Midas location must make a serious re-evaluation their customer service standards and should realize that good paying customer are the ones who pay their bills, and as a result should treat them with respect.

The customer has admitted that the [redacted] states conventional oil, it can't be anymore specific about the oil the groupon covers. It covers conventional. We have done nothing wrong and this customer is trying to get something for free. It is up to the consumer to properly read all print when purchasing a product. In this case the customer failed to do and is blaming the store for his mistake.
