I drove by and saw there are 4 shingles blown up from the wind on the same side we worked on. It is hard to tell from the ground if they are even the ones we replaced but at least 2 are in the general area. I'm not sure what she is expecting but I would be willing to do a ONE time good faith courtesy repair of the shingles. The entire roof was never warrantied at any point. Also the hole on the other side(where soffit issue is) appears to not be fixed. Please let me know the next step in putting this behind us. She has yet to return my call.

I received a letter in regards to a complaint on our business today. The number is  [redacted]. Reading Mrs. [redacted]"s comments honestly left me speechless! I am shocked and confused. Yes we did work for her and for 8 months or longer she...

was more than happy with all the work. Sometime early this year she did call about some of the soffit falling down. I spoke with her and told her I would go look. I called her after inspecting the house. I found that the soffit was hanging on one side. I informed her about a hole in her roof which probably allowed ice to back up over the winter and fell through the soffit. I said was that was one possibility or that an animal might have got in there. The roof is obviously the reason for this. Soffit just doesn't accidentally fall down especially after months and months. It covers the overhang 25 feet in the air and is not exposed to anything unless it comes from above. (Ice or animal)  I said I would fix it for her "out of the kindness of my heart" she told me she was going to have someone else fix it because of additional work that needed to be done. Possibly a neighbor I don't really remember it was a long time ago. This was a simple job that would have took me 15-30mins at the most. She has NEVER called me since or left a single message whatsoever. We are a extremely respected company that deals with between 400-500 customers yearly. With minor  research you can see this is 100% accurate. I am more than willing to take a look at whatever shingles are missing on the east side of the house. This is the ONLY area of the roof we worked on and ONLY the actually missing shingles we replaced would be our responsibility.(not her whole roof). The work we did is all stated clearly on the contract!  All repairs we offer come with a 1 year warranty. That is expired but I will gladly go look and to help resolve this. She stated she was cited again. It was inspected after we left and all the missing shingles were replaced. And most importantly she was told that her roof was in very poor condition and needed replacement. We replaced probably 30 shingles which is extremely uncommon and shows the poor condition and also the lack of maintenance on her rental property.  I'm sorry she was  cited again and understand this might be a way to get the work done for free but it has been more than a year since we worked there. More missing shingles is an indication of what really needs to be fixed on her roof not the repairs we did for her. I have called her today and left a message to please call me back. I would like to resolve this immediately and will meet her there whenever she has time. I personally can't wait to inspected the current status and and will look at any repair bills she has with an honest open mind with resolution in mind. J.
